I had stopped doing Notaroo orders in 2022 because of the net 90 day terms. Via Snapdocs, terms are now payment on the 15th of the month for the previous months assignments.
There are a few companies with those terms on Snapdocs, so I’m giving Notaroo another go. I got the fee I requested so I’m going to see how it goes this time around.
Plus last time they were in PA and it was Notarool. On Snapdocs it’s Notaroo Inc out of California.
Turned out to be the same couple I did an application for last year, and the wife had no idea what she was signing. So I called the lender, said with no Power of Attorney I wouldn’t be able to notarize her signature.
It got canceled. But I felt so badly for that woman last year. She had no idea what a reverse mortgage was or why she was signing. Maybe they just canceled me - I don’t know. It’s okay though. I’ll still do orders for Notaroo under the terms they have on snapdoc.
SnapDocs may pay on the 15th of the month for previous months’ assignments. HOWEVER, I doubt that they’ll pay if they haven’t received payment themselves.
So, if Notaroo strings them along just like they do notaries, my guess would be that SnapDocs will make payment at least a couple of weeks after payment has cleared. That’s just a guess and hopefully I’m proved wrong.
I called the lender and said I wouldn’t notarize the wife’s signature because it’s the same couple I did a reverse application for last year that I told the lender I wouldn’t go back to notarize a loan because the wife had dementia and was not fit to sign.
So they canceled the appointment. Then another service put the same order out again at a huge fee but I’m not going to notarize that loan. The 96 year old wife has dementia and had no idea what she was signing when she signed the application. No way am I doing the loan.
The husband should have gotten a Power of Attorney. I called to find out if he did and told the lender I wouldn’t be able to notarize the lady’s signature.
Poor thing is lost as a golf ball in high weeds. i expect someone will go notarize that loan but it won’t be me.
If I do get another order from Notaroo - I’ll let you know how it goes. Of course, now they might be not liking me much. But I remember that couple very well and am having nothing to do with that loan.
