I’m all certified (NSA & LSS), my background check was good, I have 2 laser printers, purchased $100,000 in E & O insurance and I registered on every signing agent platform that I know of (about 30 agencies) and started to receive text notifications, which was exciting! I called immediately after accepting the job but somehow someone else still beat me to the punch.
My question is, what are your BEST suggestions for landing that very first signing assignment???

Patience. Sooner or later their trusted, experienced, favorite notary in your area will be busy and they’ll call you. Meanwhile, figure out what a PROFITABLE fee to quote for every place you’re willing to go is or experience is what you’ll get when you aren’t paid enough to even cover your expenses.

I am in the same boat! I started my journey in August and still waiting on my big break, meaning some actual signings that pay nicely. I have been blessed to get some general notary work thanks to my Google business page. I have had 2 paid loan modification through Coast2Coast, although small but I was grateful for the experience.
I too have signed up for many SA, still waiting to hear back from a couple of them. I just say it is all in God’s timing. It will happen! Hang in there and keep grinding away. Bancserv let allow newbies to sign up on the 1st of the month! Make sure you try them.

Hi there! I am a newbie as well! Please share the list of signing agent platforms you have. My list only have around 10 or so. Or you can share where you found your resource. Thank you so much.

Watch your phone. and accept all Alerts even if low amount. So you can get some experience. If you have any questions then just call the numbers they put on the instructions. They love it when you call.

No, no, no. Please don’t put yourself in the bargain bin with any co. as you’ll never get out…and you’ll blow thru a lot of better-paying co’s in the quest for experience. If it’s profitable, take it. If not, COUNTER offer what would be profitable. They’ll respect you more. If you don’t value your time, nobody else will.

what is the difference between NSA and LSS? I am NSA but I keep seeing the LSS and wondering if I should go for that as well?

NSA = Notary Signing Agent
LSS = Loan Signing System - a training program that some have taken.

Your call - just research closely - and don’t do it because of the promise of a six-figure income - that is not something that will be realized until you have cultivated a very good base of good companies…I dare say years.
There’s been a lot of posts here about this program - if I were you I’d search here for “LSS” and read from those who have been there done that.

I’m a new signing agent, that thanks to Arichter and other seasoned NSA’s on this forum did not sign up with any of the services. I still received the C2C and other services that go after the new agents with their $65, $30 signings 30 miles away. I stayed with title companies even though, while I’ve had no experience with loan signings. I’ve been a notary for several years and am familiar with the documents. What with the virus making it difficult to prospect, I finally obtained a signing from a title company, I quoted them $150.00 … it was 10 miles for a hybrid ( 70 pages ). Picked up the doc’s ( which was on the way to the signing) NO printing, NO scanning. Delivered the doc’s back received my $150 check… Immediately …No wait Thanks again members. Took my wife out to dinner had money left over! Yea…

I have both. I took the LSS and it’s a great program. I then took my NSA 3 days later… they compliment each other.
