I have a closing where the Patriot Act form has a signature line for borrower but not for Notary. Should I certify and sign this form anyway? I always thought that the Notary was required to sign the Patriot Act form.
That doesn’t seem right, call the title and ask them before making any changes. The person who fills it out needs to sign it and they should absolutely have a signature line on there for signing agents, but never make changes to any document without proper authorization.
