Please only people with recent experience with Notarize reply

If you could please answer these 2 specific questions, it would be greatly appreciated. Please only people with recent experience with Notarize reply:

  1. How many transactions (notarizations) are doing per hour with Notarize?

  2. Does Notarize inform you in advance what kind of Notarization it is before you pick the assignment? If not, can you politely refuse the assignment once you come to know?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Ivan,

I just finished a post on your original inquiry about Notarize. I have been on their site for over a year now. To answer your 2 questions:

How many notarizations per hour?
I average 4-5. On busy days it can be as much as 6-7. I work about 7 hours a day M-F by choice as I am a contractor and can set my own hours and work when I want to. I also handle work with other existing clients not connected to Notarize.

Do you have to take the assignments that come to you?
Yes, I do. They are a call center. You are trained in how to handle the signings and start out with simple one document notarizations such as a power of attorney, application for a copy of a birth certificate, or a Deed needs notarized. You get tested before they release you to take customer calls. And, their training and notary support are top notch.

You may be able to determine what level of signing you handle. I was a mobile notary for real estate closings until COVID-19 hit so I transitioned to RON and handle everything. It would be good to get those types of questions answered directly from them should you decide to apply. Hope this helps
