My usually reliable MFC printer is having issues with the paper feed which make it impossible to scan back docs. I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for portable scanner that I could use with my computer and /or on the go in my car for those that need immediate scans.
I use the Epson 300w. It uses a battery and power cord. I purchased a charging cord for recharging in the car.
how many pages can you scan at one time and will it do legal size?
I have the same scanner for mobile scanning. Yes, it auto detects paper size so no issues with mixed paper files. About 20 pages at a time is the max. However my stand alone scanner at home is the Epson 500 and I love it. It makes scans such a breeze.
I use a Mac computer. Is that compatible?
Also, I would probably move away from multi-function machines, if the printing or the scanning function becomes inoperable, then you will need to purchase another piece of hardware. Buy a printer for printing and a scanner for scanning. I use the Brother ADS 3200…I like the speed and I can scan 50 pages at a time.
I did have to buy a separate scanner today I got an Epson 4011. Ugh, I don’t even want to think about the amount of money I spent on office equipment!
I also use a Mac computer
I use an epson es-400. It is a life saver. Its quick and very helpful. Tt scans both sides if you need it too. High quality scans, you do have to clean every 3000-6000 pages which is easy on this scanner. It automatically detects if the paper is A4 or legal size. Scans about 50 pages at a time & you can continue to feed extra documents to make it one packet.
