PLEASE HELP!!! Has anyone heard of Professional Closing and Notary Service This signing company hired me today for a refi signing tomorrow . HOWEVER, No signer contact. information was provided. When I inquired about signer information and documents I received an email with documents that looked like the verbiage was cut and pasted. The wording in the note and mortgage was crooked, uneven and not centered. Not professional at all. Then they told me to look at the 1003 for signers contact info I’m very leary.
is right. Of all the documents, the mortgage, note and application are usually perfect. But it could be just a lousy scan. I’d call & ask about it.
Their website has their name, lots of pretty pictures and nice words…but no information at all.
The company’s website is sort of bare minimum I couldn’t find an address tab. They market themselves as a one stop shop and it sounds like the docs preparer isn’t familiar with their adobe. I wonder how new they are. No template for hiring notaries that includes file number, contact info and signer details? That’s just a bad support process or an undeveloped docs preparing and support process. Personally I’d look for a phone number and call them.
Everyone starts somewhere. That’s what it seems like to me.
Whoa, SKETCHY AF! Did the original request come to you via email? Do not accept an assignment from any company who offers ZERO contact information on their website, it is a scam. The domain is registered privately so there is no way to know if this is a domain owned by someone in the USA or in China, Russia, India… etc. And definitely DO NOT click links in their email.
What was the end result, Penny?
I am not SKETCHY AF- I am a small company that had one issue with the title company scanning documents due to them switching platforms and their documents all came crooked. I called the manager of the title company and she went into work the next morning at 6am to download and regular scan them to me to get to Penny. After that the closing went perfect. No SKETCHY AF just title company glitch and was fixed as soon as it could be and Documents went to Penny hours before closing. My Website is under construction and not finished.
Pagi, read original post – what she described to us was indeed sketchy af and I stand by what I said based on her original post in this Notary Forum. Not offering any contact information, not having an functional business website are RED FLAGS to me and they always will be. By the way, this is a notary forum where we notaries discuss precisely these kinds of issues.
Glad everything worked out for everyone. I wish you the best of luck with your business. Hope your business website is finished soon. Take care.
The email that was sent to Penny had all my contact information in it. She was in complete contact with me and my business partner the whole time. I told her we were working on getting it fixed. At no time did we leave her hanging on what was happening. The reason she was told to look at the 1003, even crooked is because I was on the road and she wanted to confirm with the people she was meeting with. Penny also
had title contact information. It was on the documents even if crooked. I feel bad enough that this happened let a lone being made out to be sketchy. I work in the business and always want all the information to be perfect for us closers. But we are only as good as the information given to us. In the first email to Penny she was told do not print this its crooked and we are working on getting it fixed. We told her to just look it over so she had it to review. We are very much about being very informative due to us being right out there working hard as we all do. It was just simply a title glitch due their new system. Once it again it was sent crooked so she could review while it was being fixed.
This is why notaries should take care how they characterize a hiring party.
Just a follow up on the issue with Professional Closing and Notary Service. Every thing worked out well with this signing and it was completed successfully. Eventually a good set of documents were sent to me as well as the signers’ name and contact information. Thank you to everyone responding to my inquiry…I so appreciate you and this forum. It has been a very helpful and safe place to voice notary concerns and get answers . I always “err on the side of caution” especially whenever I come across unusual and unfamiliar activities. Thanks for responding to my distressed “Help” notice. Best wishes to Professional Closing and Notary Service and Welcome to the forum. I look forward to working with you in the future…All is Well
sounds like a comedy to me …
