I’ve had a strange occurrence with Notary Nation but maybe it’s just me?? I did a signing for them a month ago. The contact person assigning created the signing on snapdocs. I’ve never had a signing company do this. I loaded up the photos and documents to the signing. Then the contact person approved of everything and then promptly closed the signing and thus I have no way of sending an invoice through snapdocs or communicating with the signing company either.
I haven’t gotten paid either. I found her number and text her about the above and her response was I’ve been doing this for 10 years on snapdocs and you’ll get paid so basically leave her alone and don’t assume anything just because she closed the signing.
Anyone have any dealings with Notary Nation? Do they really pay? Should I just give up that I’m not going to get paid? TIA
Never give up! Hopefully, SS word is good and you’ll get paid. Let us know, OK?
@amydawn22 I know you probably already know this, but just in case . . .
By any chance did you find the immediately available information found within the Notary Cafe database on this topic?
This information is a GOLDMINE!
Most members express that they find it difficult/NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to locate the Search Function in order to access the wealth of information available within the database.
To be helpful, I’ve inserted an image for you & others [see below] to help members locate it to unlock the wisdom & knowledge of other members on the forums.
I’ve performed a cursory Search on your behalf and the results show the following threads about this business entity for PAYMENT DIFFICULTIES, etc. these go back for YEARS:

There are more, but I’ll let you perform the additional Research.

Accessing the database to locate information about potential clients has saved many of us an inordinate amount of time ‘chasing’ payments for Services professionally provided to potential non-payers . . .
I will definitely let you know if I get paid.
@cNsa5 Thank you for your response. I did look but apparently I didn’t put in the right search. I went to forums and kept looking but didn’t find Notary Nation. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to waste people’s time.
Since their signing contact person closed my snapdoc order I had no way of sending an invoice to this person through snapdocs. I found the number of the person (so glad I kept the text) and text her asking her why she would close an order before payment has been sent and that it looked suspicious. She immediately became defensive. Started telling me she was going to sue me and anyone else who has posted any negative reports on Notary Nation for harassment. LOL. Goodness. (I didn’t even tell the person the name of this notary forum board. ) I told her, good luck with that, cuz what I’m reading on the posts are not good of Notary Nation. She then says, well, you’re not supposed to get paid for another month; read your contract. She is right about that; per their useless contract, it says payment after 60 days. However, my beef was that she closed the order on snapdocs without payment first which would indicate to most people that payment wasn’t going to happen because there was no way to communicate with the company. (Again, very glad I saved her texts and her phone number.) Anyways, she then replied again, well, check you email tomorrow morning cuz I’ll pay you personally by echeck and then I’m blocking you. LOL. I’ll hold my breath all night in expectation of receiving payment. Yeah right. Block me? As if this would hurt me? Such a childish response from her. Regardless, if she actually pays, I’ll let ya’ll know cuz it means hell froze over. LOL
An actual honest, ethical signing company: 1) Would not close an order without payment to the notary. 2) Would provide all forms of contact information for the notary in order for the notary to send an invoice 3) Would not become defensive and threaten to sue for merely questioning why the order was closed 4) Would apologize for any misunderstandings and strive to be transparent… in my opinion.
I will post if I receive payment tomorrow morning but reading all the posts about Notary Nation I seriously doubt I will receive payment. I appreciate your response @cNsa5 and again I apologize for wasting your time. Truly.
@amydawn22 Thank you for your response.
Just know that definitively it certainly isn’t a waste of time to research for someone who apparently hasn’t been treated fairly & equitably after providing Professional Signing Agent [PSA] services & successfully completing a Signing Order [SO] for a business entity.
I presumed you had endeavored to Research the business entity due to the professional demeanor that you normally demonstrate in your interactions on the Notary Cafe forum.
I provided the multiple threads because usually within those threads are pointers/helpful hints regarding how others were successfully paid by the business entity.
======
Regarding DEADBEAT business entities, I’ve queried on the topic to the Notary Cafe team for them to ‘ban’ those business entities from having access to the Notary Cafe member database and to create a thread naming those business entities so that others members don’t fall victim to their non-payment techniques . . .
My heartfelt plea on behalf of the affected members of the Notary Cafe database was respectfully heard & given fair time to be considered . . however, it was identified that potential negative legal issues could arise from implementing this type of effort to protect members from those business entities.
I wanted to give you an update on Notary Nation.
The point person (scheduler for NN) was so angry that I confronted her about closing MY signing on snapdoc before payment. I created comments in the closed signing asking this person to tell me why because it was just suspicious. No response. I left 2 or 3 comments asking and my final comment let her know that I was reporting her and NN. No response.
Only after I text her…Told her I have never had a signing company do that to me. Of course, she became even more defensive and how I should have read the contract that they don’t pay for 60-90 days, etc. I told her that wasn’t my point at all. My point is a signing company does not close MY orders in snapdoc without payment first; I can’t access their company’s info; I have no way of sending them an invoice, etc. This really infuriated her as well. I said, listen, Notary Nation does not have a good reputation on notary forum boards because of lack of payment to the notaries. She then went ballistic on me which truly confirmed my suspicions.
She finally says expect a check from her in the morning and she was blocking me from ever having a signing from Notary Nations which I found unbelievable(about getting paid) and humorous (that she thought I’d ever do a signing for them). I told her just do the right thing.
Hell must have frozen over last night.
I had deluxe check waiting for me. She left a comment in my snapdoc but honestly I could care less what she said. I’m sure it was nasty and threatening and frankly, I don’t care.
I’m grateful she paid me because reading through all the horrible experiences others have had with NN, I think I’m lucky that I got paid. Ironically, I was asking why she closed the order before payment. I wasn’t asking her to pay me earlier than the 60 days though I think 60 -90 days is ridiculous.
I think she paid me early because she is ‘scared’ of what other notaries are saying about NN. I have no problem updating my original post to let others know that I actually got paid but I would certainly caution a notary from ever working with NN.
After all this point of contact person said she’s been working with snapdoc/NN for 10 years. This tells me she knows exactly how to conduct herself on snapdoc and she knows that NN doesn’t typically pay. (Some of the posts on NN go back 5-7 years.) There was simply no logical reason why she would close the signing before paying a notary unless she wasn’t expecting to pay the notary.
I got paid this morning!!! I think I am just lucky. Seriously, lucky, I think she paid me a month early because she knew she was ‘caught’ and was scared perhaps what notary forum boards are posting about NN. I don’t know. I know she was super angry and super defensive that I confronted her about closing my signing without payment. Ironically, I never asked to be paid early. Then, she text me that she was blocking me from ever receiving assignments from NN. LOL. Oh, no, say it’s not so. I would never accept another assignment from them. It was a horrible experience from the get-go. I blame myself too for not checking relentlessly the forum discussions on NN. Regardless, I didn’t give up and I persistently pursued answers from her.
Concur percent with @amydawn22
WoW! This unequivocally reveals a lack of personal ethics on the part of the point of contact person . . .
Good Plan @amydawn22

Hi. I am also waiting for a payment - 68 days now. Sent a couple messages on Snapdocs and received no answer. I remembered that I had owner’s # and texted today. She responded that she would check with accounting and circle back. Nothing yet…
@Michele3 Was the person Crystal?
Did the person close your signing in Snapdocs as well?
Yes. I didn’t realize it was closed, but it is.
Yep. That’s her tactic. A signing company should never close your ‘signing order’ on Snapdocs. It’s unethical for one and second, it’s her way of making sure you have no way of contacting her.
If I were you, I’d text her and tell her that closing your order on Snapdocs is a big fat no-no and indicates her intention of never paying. If you look through the past posts of NN, you’ll see her name pop up; she’s been running her scam for years. She’ll tell you she’s been working on Snapdocs for 10 years as if this somehow legitimizes her scamming.
Now, if you confront her w/ the above, be prepared to hear her anger, threats. Etc.
I also told her that notary boards are sharing their bad experiences of not getting paid by NN. I didn’t tell her which notary boards. (What I told her was absolutely true and she was infuriated and said she would sue me and every person who said anything about NN.) Good luck with that. I think she and NN should feel lucky that they haven’t been sued for fraud. Regardless, choose your words wisely and don’t back down.
Like I said, she paid me and technically before 90 days. I only waited for a month. But I wasn’t asking to be paid early; I was confronting her about unethically closing my order on Snapdocs and how suspicious that looked.
Thanks for the info! Wish me luck!
Good luck. Plz let me know if you get paid!!
I went back on Snapdocs and found I wasn’t paid for one of their jobs in Sept of 2019. There was a long hiatus when I didn’t work for them but I started again in 2023. I see I was paid for those signings. The first one I did in April 23 and was paid in July 23. I then did one in July 23 and was paid in September 23. Now this year I’ve done three more but they are under the 90 day payment term. They are looking into the old one so I’m hopeful they will either issue payment or find the lost check.
. . . 90-day payment terms . . . ???
With the duration of that payment turnaround interval, essentially that’s extending credit to a Signing Service [SS].
I hope there’s an interest charge or a carrying charge for the loan.
Exactly!
90 days is a crock and absolutely ridiculous.
Snqp docs is a common format. You should be able to gobto snapdocs and find the order. Some companies dont pay invoices but once a month, so if your closing was close to cutoff, then it could be 60 days or so. Keep rattling their cage.
