I received this email yesterday. I have not heard of the company that emailed me, nor have I signed up for training. (I would like example packets of loan packettes / training, but no money.) I do have an account with signature closers, but this looks like a scam or something, so I won’t click on this link….
myabsorb.com is a training platform that various companies contract with to provide training. I’ve seen the name Signature Closers mentioned on notary forums but don’t know anything about them. I’ve used myabsorb.com for online training for the Civil Air Patrol.
Signature Closers is a great company I have done over 40 signings with them. Good packages most no scan backs and you don’t have to beg to get paid it comes automatic. They are my number one customer.
I agree, I took the SBA course about a week ago… for whatever reason the “new notary” class (even though I’ve been a notary for 6 years) required me to “take it within a specified amount of time or my being on signing order might be suspended”. This does not seem fair, and is this required of everyone? Or is this normal? If I am being singled out, and have not had any errors, how do I stop that type of treatment?
If I ever got an email from them requiring training I don’t recall that happening. Sometimes the training is lender specific. I’ve received lender specific instructions from Signature Closers but don’t recall having to take training. If I did it was to watch a video. I love the platform if I was asked to do a course I would because the business with them is worth it just my opinion It’s not a punitive thing
I just sand boxed the link and it is definitely a scam site trying to gain your actual credentials to the real site. You should consider letting Signature Closer know so they can take proper actions and hopefully alert their members as well.
I’d like to know TCMNotary’s reasoning for saying the link in this thread is “definitely a scam site”. The link, with spaces inserted to keep it from actually working, is
h t t p s : / / s i g n a t u r e c l o s e r s . m y a b s o r b . c o m /
A known good link to the Absorb training site is
h t t p s : / / c a p n h q . m y a b s o r b . c o m /
My understanding is it’s the part of the domain name that’s just before .com, in this case, “myabsorb”, that determines where the link leads. Also, I used nslookup in the Windows command prompt to look up the IPs of the servers and they were the same:
