I took an assignment from Notaries in Action. When I accepted the assignment, I received the acceptance response back from Coast2Coast (I labeled the number as Coast2Coast in the past). In the order (on NotaryDash) the service listed as client is Prestiage Inc. Are they all related?

Is Coast to Coast the same as Coast2Coast?

It is hard at times to distinguish companies apart and those that are related.

Hi ~ are you new to Notary work? Use search icon above for additional information regarding notary companies. Lot of companies have multiple names, DBA’s, etc. Google research also assists. My personal thoughts these companies have something to hide either financial, forced to merge with others so they don’t have to update software, etc. You can also research if some companies are slow pay. Good luck !

Coast to coast is coast2coast.

Notary Dash is the platform only.

Have never heard C2C being related to Prestige.

But it can be hard to keep up with who subcontracts who. I take orders from Advanced Mobile Notary and then get emails from someone else.

Can people tell you with 100% accuracy?

I find that questionable.

I have done several Coast 2 Coast signings in the last 60 days. I have had them respond with different Company names. Coast 2 Coast is also currently late in payment on 2 of my accounts, one being almost 30 days past due, the other being 5 days past due.

Coast 2 Coast hasn’t responded to the seriously delinquent account. Their response to the other is that the check will be cut this Friday, late in the day.

Hope this additional information helps!

Youse has gotta be new to notary work. 5 days past due (!) is actually 25 days current (if you get what I’m sayin’) You’ll get used to slow pay. C2C is on the pokey side but they do pay, sometimes with a little nudging. Stay away from Prestige; their accounts payable department is in Russia and Putin is the manager. You’ll get paid by them when the war is over.

Thanks for your unwanted “advice” Bobby.

You obviously are one of the “seasoned seniors” on the LSA pathway that make everyone else have to work harder because you allow companies/clients to walk all over you, which gives the companies the impression that this kind of behavior is acceptable and to do it to everyone else. I have literally had companies use that as an excuse: " Well Joe Smith who has been doing this for 25 years thinks our slow payments are no big deal,so why should you care?" I literally just had Louisville Loan Signings, a notary/signing service, just say that today on a 138 day past their written payment promise date account. So adding in the 60 days they initially needed to process payment, they are 198 days from date of service rendered.

Sadly you aren’t alone. There are a couple of others on here with the same bad attitude. I for one, am going to start calling people out on this kind of behavior.

Btw, been a Notary, Real Estate Agent,Real Estate Broker and loan officer since 2012. I’m not the newbie you think I am in your post. Even if I were, shame on you and others who attack new notaries on this forum. We should be building one another up, offering helpful suggestions and not acting like superior beings.

To the other 99% of great people on here, I apologize. Why these types are tolerated is beyond me.

Somebody didn’t get their Maypo this morning. “Seasoned Senior”, “superior beings”, “attacking new notaries”, “You’re not a newbie”, “gonna call people out”. You completely missed the point of my post, buddy. Completely. But you go on the offensive because you were somehow offended. The truth of how things work these days is what was being said. Didn’t say you had to accept it (and clearly, you don’t). No need to lose your temper.

As is often written on this site, reference the GOLD MINE of information that is available to anyone who is suffering from all the ailments they gripe about on this forum and cull the great advice on collecting fees, developing business, buying supplies, enduring the hard times and a whole host of other sound advice. My “unwanted advice” is of little consequence, especially to you. Take what you want and leave the rest. And, eat your Maypo.

Thank you for your response. I have first hand knowledge of C2C paying very late. One invoice was paid almost 8 months late last year. That is why I don’t want to work with them right now. Good luck collecting!

People don’t post what they think because they’re sure they’re wrong. Which doesn’t make anyone wrong, but there are different approaches. I liked the post that calls some curmudgeons. That’s a good word.

I had some curmudgeons for lunch last week. Tasty, if a bit crunchy. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I agree. Coast to Coast is one company I learned to stay away from. It was three years ago the last time I worked for them, and they still owe me for 2 jobs. They are notorious for being late or not paying at all. I recently started receiving things from them, and it’s always $30 and sometimes 100 miles away. I will not work for them again, and I hate getting offers from them.

I will no longer work for Coast2Coast, Prestige Notaries, or Notaries in Action. They offer mainly low-ball, high-mileage jobs, they always pay late and only pay after being hounded with multiple emails. That is no way to do business. My guess is that they’re likely only still in business because they can hoodwink new notaries and/or operate in areas with few options for LSA/general work.

Coast to coast is the now $30. lo ball fee loan mod company i got $75. From First american direct
NotaryDash is the platform
Prestige notaries is out of washington state
Over the years I have worked with them all
Always got paid.. no issues

I used to work quite a bit for Coast2Coast but they haven’t been as active lately. Sometimes C2C has jobs through Snapdocs and other times through Notary Dash. They tend to be late in payment but I have always been paid by them so far. Once I went back and found an assignment from a year prior and was paid upon reminding them. Prestige Notaries is different from Prestige Signing Service in terms of payment. Prestige Notaries needs multiple reminders but I have eventually been paid for all the work I’ve done with them. I don’t recall any issues with Prestige Signing Service. Slow payment is an issue with some companies, I try to avoid working with them as it takes too much time and energy to chase down payment.

I accepted an asaignment from notaries in action. My advice is, dont. The originator was an attorney, not a title company. I had no contact with the originator except an email on the platform. After not geting paid for 2 months, i contacted the attorney. Shortly i received a call fron NIA owner who yelled at me for calling the attorney. She had not responded to my emails, even her direct one. Finally, after 4 months i did a deep dive into her. Shes a real estate agent (as am i for over 41 years). I sent an email to her real estate email. Im guessing she has assistants who read her emails. I got paid the next day. So, all i can say is, push for payment and notify the platform if you dont get paid. Certainly, i would never care to have a real estate deal with her. She is not part of the platform. Title companies, etc. simply work through the platform. Prestige may be the name of her real estate company. I dont remember.

This makes me uncomfortable. I banned Coast to Coast several years ago, but recently took an order from C2C and asked if the were same company but told no. Now I’m worried I won’t get paid.

Coast to Coast always paid me. It might be at 60 days which I hate but I always got paid.
