Hello, I am looking at starting an online remote notary service in the state of new york. I wanted to know how demand is in your area or state? Does anyone offer a remote online notary service and how many clients do you receive. I appreciate the insight.
I am just starting mine out as well. I haven’t had anyone interested in it since I started marketing and so I really don’t know. I’ll follow your question in case someone has any good insights.
I am a remote online notary. Some months I have a decent amount of online work and other months I am mobile. Most people are unaware that you can have documents notarized online. When I receive a call I find out what they need notarized as certain things in my state cannot be done online like wills, powers of attorneys and estate documents in general. If it is something that can be done remotely, I offer it as an alternate way of getting it done. All of my marketing includes remote online notarizations as well. I am also in a state ¶ that allows for biometrics and we can accept any foreign government issued identification as long as it meets the critera. I network with other notaries who may not be able to use biometrics or a German drivers license for example. A lot of work must go into building your RON customer base.
