Request to email signed docs

The lender agent of this closing is asking me to email him the scans of signed documents. I have been told to never do this. I explained that if he had a website or encrypted email I could upload them to, I would. But even still I don’t know him from Adam and feel weird doing this. Now he is emailing me on the weekend to send him the docs. I feel like I’m being hassled. There are no instructions for me to do this.

I would give him the signing company contact information because you are definitely not supposed to email docs to anyone.

Was he the one to send you the loan package? If he was, then I’m confused about why you’re hesitant about emailing him the package. I have a secure platform through, Our Records, to send sensitive docs, via email.

Do you ever get packages from the lender? I always get mine from title. I’d love to hear about any free sites that send emails securely or encrypted.

Hello, I password protect all PDF documents before sending. Then I text the password (only to the title/escrow or borrower) never just anytime I do not know… What if I misspelled the email address and someone else will have access to personal information… PASSWORD PROTECT… choose something like zip code and first 4 letters of last name (12345Rain) I usually give this to the borrower at the signing table.
