A little bit in shock… Servicelink, who i’ve done for for 15 years, said they are offering RON closings for $15 and $25. It’s truly insane!!! Calculate your Indentrust cert, which you have to pay annually, monthly internet fee, cost of your laptop, background chk every year, E&O, electricty to charge your laptop, etc.. It’s beyond crazy and extremely offensive. Thoughts? Closings just aren’t a livable wage anymore…
Write back and tell them they left the zero off the pay. Depending on the platform used that doesn’t even cover cost of stamps and signers , so essentially you could be paying them to complete a closing . this is absurd . I’m sorry they even bothered to waste your time to read that email.
Yeah… when I broke down the costs the notary is forced to incur, I never received a reply. Crazy!!
@joshstraley Sorry to read about this . . .
Thank You for sharing this “financial squeeze” of Professional Signing Agents [PSAs] by ServiceLink.
@chandie.kent is correct
the Net Result of that Fee would be “paying them to complete a closing.” In other words, the PSA Business Owner will LOSE MONEY providing PSA services for ServiceLink.

I bailed on the RONs when they cut fee by over one half. That was last year they were offering thirty dollars fee. Notary doesn’t have any platform expenses but why waste an hour of your time for 20.00 If they had W2 employees doing these it would cost them more than twenty dollars.
They sure sound like a company circling the drain. Know they’ve played this game for years, but these fees are just below the water line. Somebody’s gonna drown. Don’t let it be you.
@Arichter Thank You.

I fired them a long time ago, I was told that if I didn’t reduce my fees, then I would not get work. So, I told them bye. The market is over saturated and people will work for lower prices,
