StampSpot.com

Has anyone heard of or used StampSpot.com? I recently received an invite to join their site but, would like more information before considering it as an option for my business. Thanks for any info.

Well, for starters, their site doesn’t work properly.

I have just received an offer from them to join their group. I’m waiting to see if anyone has had any experience with them.

No experience with them but I nibbled around and discovered that they are a fee-based “middleman” service that charges the notary for the “leads” they send. I couldn’t absolutely confirm all that, but I’ve seen similar companies over the years and fell for the “offer” only to get nothing for my fee. Memory fails as to the name and fee of the company but these guys look quite the same.

As the old saying goes, “Youse pays your money and youse takes your chances.” I got the same email this morning (they’re canvassing) and I just dumped it. If you decide to go for it, please do jump back to this thread and tell us how it went for you.

I agree with Bobby on this one. I too received an email from them. I haven’t heard about them before and was wondering everyone’s experience. They must be the new kid in town trying to charge us a fee and give us peanuts for doing all the work.

Its a directory and they will want money don’t pay for business.

I received an email, too, and searched a bit. It’s been said before in Notary Cafe and I agree, that notaries should not be paying for services like these. The platforms should be free. My subscriptions are to NNA (they provide multiple services) and here (love this forum). I pay for trainings as they arise. I will unsubscribe from the StampSpot email list.
