I received an email soliciting their platform. Stampspot claims they charge the notary $8.00 per signing order. I’ve never heard about this company before. They claim to be transparent, and you keep the fee (less the transaction charge of $8.00)
Never pay anyone for business
I think you read their page wrong. It says clients pay $8 per order to find a notary. It says it is free for notaries to be on their platform.
Hadn’t ever heard of them before.
That’s what I read too.
I received the same email too.
I got the email today, and they explicitly say they don charge notaries, only clients pay to find the notaries. Looks like a lot of notaries have signed up so far. Wondering if they are getting a lot of clients though, and if anyone has gotten any signing there?
so did you sign up. Today it says free for notaries, and clients pay to source notaries from their platform.
Y’all need to ask yourself, what’s in it for them? Do you really think some “client” is paying them for something that they can get for free?
So, I guess we still have no answer as to whether or not they are reputable…I received an email today too and was wondering…
@tonicross There are multiple threads on this particular business entity created during the current fiscal year.
Appears to be a fee-based Signing Service [SS]/dispatcher that charges the notary for leads . . .
