I received my 1099 in February 2025 from superior signing services (Texas) with my social security number in the window of the envelope along with my name and address. I emailed the ss and asked why they would have put that in the mail for ALL to see. This is something that is private and should not be public. They never responded and I’ve never been called for work again from them. Just thought I’d share if you work with them…be careful.
One more reason why to ALWAYS use an EIN and not your social security number.
Please understand that I am not excusing or condoning SNS’ lack of respect and privacy in this matter. It should have never happened.
