Surplus Financial Solutions - warning!

Has anyone heard of Keith A. Steward
Surplus Financial Solutions, LLC? I did a quick, local document signing but haven’t heard anything 25 days later when payment was due. I’m wondering if I will get paid soon or have to continue to ask for payment.
I have been advised that this is the renamed company Docs2Go. It seems they have stiffed notaries in the past. After my 3rd request for payment, I guess they will have a new ding with the BBB. How unfortunate. They seemed nice enough. :disappointed_face:

@abbottirene Appears that you may want to add the term “WARNING” & the OWNER’S NAME to the title of your thread . . .

He’s a longtime Non-Paying business entity under the name of Docs2Go. Reference the following threads:

Nobody cares about BBB dings. Call the Title Co. as they will usually lean on the SS to pay you.

Unfortunately, this was a document to divide up assets to heirs of a deceased foreclosed property. I didn’t have any other information

@abbottirene Sorry to read about that . . .

Hopefully, the data found within this Notary Cafe post (I referenced above) will prove beneficial.

It’s always helpful! I did learn to search a lot more thoroughly the next time.

@abbottirene :partying_face: :sparkles: :partying_face:

Did they send their payment terms? Sometimes it’s not unusual for companies to have terms other than net 30 regardless of what we want. 25 days doesn’t make me very nervous. Docs2Go always paid me but it was usually 60 days.

Contact the title company and let them know that they are not paying, this is the only way to put a fire under them to get your money. no excuses for late payments in this industry…They get the money within a few days.

I actually contacted the FL attorney general and put him on copy of the email. Payment was wired right away. Thanks everyone for the support!
