Two & half years later -- Anyone still rejecting $75 signings

Hi,

I haven’t handled a loan signing in several years. Tired of lowball offers, fax backs, etc. I would never accept 75.00 for a signing.

Tons of money, reminiscence of a bygone era

I reject those from Snap Docs (who doesn’t provide anywhere near enough info to make a rational decision), but have accepted a few from another platform that allows me to determine my expenses so I KNOW the signing is still within my acceptable profit margin. Recent example: (apparently a ‘fix’ of a newbie error) One 3 page trailing doc; 3 miles from home, no notarization nor scan needed. $70

Other than this kind of thing, no way anything less than $100
and that won’t include most refis or any scans.

@docusignexpert1 That’s a definitive “YES!” not accepting $75 signings; UNLESS it’s within the calculation I perform for providing this professional service as a Professional Signing Agent [PSA].

Please reference this guideline for additional details that comprise those calculations:

I only do Ron’s exclusively, hopefully they will pick up, to me I’m defeating myself when I
do a closing that take Gas, paper, ink, ware and tare on my car, Last week I signed up with a company call The Notary Krew, they want me to do a reverse closing for $45 and out of that they would take $15, leaving me to make $30, calculating the expense that would go in to me completing the closing, scan back and drive to who ever was shipping, my compensation would have been exercise, I can’t deposit that so I stick to RON"S

I love those quick assignments. Yes. Distance and type of signings do matter. I agree. I am very selective – I generally skip any signings over 10 miles. And counteroffer any signings that may take more than 30 minutes at the table

Yes. that’s correct. But, you’ve Already spent money on all of your "notary stuff” – so, doing a local job is can be profitable – even at $75. Realistically-- if you’re not taking the $75 offer – then – you’re only doing 10% of the offers. ( I think I am doing about 20% of the offers) I am counteroffering 2/3 of the offers.

Yes, but I’m in a rural area and Im retired. I let the lowball offers pass me by until they see that no one will take it. Then they come back to me with a higher fee.

Wow
Reverse signings are usually over 200 pages and have to print 2 copies. I won’t do them for under 150.00 and the companies I’ve worked with know that. Plus they can be time consuming.

I totally agree! I just saw one sent to me today 150-175 pages
$50.00 Then they have the nerve to want scans. I made more than that in 2005 and I didn’t have to print the docs. If everyone would just stop accepting the low-ball offers they are going to have to come up
Minimum fee should start at 85.00 and be within a 10-15 mile radius.

2000: $150 , up to 125 pages, within 15 miles, scans were never needed.

I’ve muted my Snap Docs notifications. It’s a waste of time to answer.
No refis or purchases for under $100.

Helocs, mods or seller for that. $125, minimum/all others
is better

So right! I think during my 5-yr career, I’ve done about 3 Reverse Signings, and on the third one, I said these are NOT for me! I care and love my elders, but for most of them, it becomes very time consuming! It took me 2 hours to do one that should’ve taken an hour. Husband and wife read every detail and to top it all, the husband fell asleep in the chair in the middle of the signing!!! I was flabbergasted and couldn’t believe it was really happening to me. Had another signing behind that one, so was late for it. It was a disaster! The pay was about $120 for btwn 165-185 pgs! Not worth my time, but to each its own. Not my forte!

Will accept in office and remote signings only for $75, where I don’t have to print or scan back copies. And I’ve been asked to be the go-to signer for these by a Title Company who provides me first right of refusal for both of these and who pays within a week. Everything else is over $100 and I won’t travel farther than 20-25 miles and negotiate higher fee for any printing over 150 pages. If funding is not same day, I’ve been able to negotiate away scan back requirement.
Business has picked up considerably in the past couple months.

I’m very selective with Snapdocs.
Last night they sent out purchase for 75.00
It sat there for about 30 mins. I finally countered with $100.00
8 miles from me , 140 pages, no scans. I did it, 1 signer. You kinda have to play the game.
I really didn’t care either way whether I got it or not, but it shows them I’m not leaving my house for under $100.00 :joy::joy::joy:

The first one I did was my first signing and They set the time for 5pm and that’s when they sent me the paperwork, took an hour to sort. I start the signing but had to come back the next day because the wife couldn’t make it through all the pages. That day I decided if it’s not for 225 they can find someone else.
No one must like to do them because I’ve done 9 now all at 250. I bid high every time it normally takes 4 hours from start to finish :woman_facepalming:t3:

I am in the NW suburbs of Chgo, I am on ‘snap docs and signing order.com, and every order request that I receive rarely hits the $100 mark unless witnesses are requested. I work a 20mi. Radius which equates to a 30-35 travel time one way, if I request more money for the order I never get it. Most of the signing companies seem to low ball all their offer in my area for some reason.

ALL of the platforms lowball everyone, experienced or newb, ALL the time. ALWAYS either counter at a profitable fee or just decline/ignore.
