Why do all signing companies provide after hours numbers

… and demand that we call them when any issue arises during the signing? (Same with lenders). Don’t they realize that they just look even worse to the client when we do call, because THEY NEVER ANSWER!

Heck, they don’t answer in the day time so on the couple of times I’ve had signers need to ask questions. I had a signing take an extra 70 minutes because title took 30 minutes to answer at 11am the 1st call and 40 minutes the 2nd call. Trying to get stinking full wiring instructions that they failed to provide in the package.

Called before when the signer had a question on their title during a signing at 2pm no answer during the 45-minute signing and the guy said I’ll just take care of it later.

I called title after-hours number 5pmEST they had signer John Doe as a married Woman on the Deed. Took me 2 hours to get a hold of them then they freaked out cause it was a big client. Asked was it anything I could do to fix it cause they didn’t want him to see it. The signing was at 730. I was so over them. They did pay me quick…lol

I always ask myself the same question, why bother with telephone numbers no one is going to answer  is an awkward situation when borrowers have questions right at the signing table… I usually refer them to call their loan agent. It works like magic, especially when they don’t answer and borrower get even more mad at them
