I’m looking into mobile scanning, more out of curiosity than necessity, so I admit to knowing nothing at all about it. Does anyone have experience with Adobe Scan Mobile App? TIA!
Hello there. When I do a mobile scan that is the APP I use.
Maximum 100 pages per file. But for several of the websites requesting an upload that’s way too big.
I try to only use it for packages under 50 pages because that takes less time. Large packages can take an HOUR so for the large ones I adjust the shipping date accordingly. I pay for an upgraded Adobe on my computer so I don’t have to pay a monthly fee.
If it’s a package under 25 pages I ask to do it at the signers table. That usually works out. Otherwise I take a work space at the FedEx store or the UPS store. I’m in those stores all the time it’s never been an issue with them.
You need a steady hand and patience. Don’t hit scan until your page is set up and don’t hit next until you have switched out the page. It has an ID option that I like.
I’m not a fan of mobile scanning but Adobe is just as good as any of them as far as I’m concerned and I don’t need a laptop.
I use the Adobe Scan Mobile App premium (allows up to 100 pages). It’s quite easy to use and the image capture is intuitive and forgiving of my sometimes unsteadiness. And in doing mobile GNW, I’m able to offer clients an electronic copy of their notarized documents for a small fee. Many of my clients are happy to learn I offer this convenient service.
As a mobile notary, I have an Epson scanner I use in my car for anything more than one or two pages. I use the Adobe scanning app on my phone for smaller files, like shipping receipts or rescanning one or two pages for an error that I missed. I don’t have the patience to use it for more than that, plus I feel it’s a personal security issue since I do not do it at the table.
My Epson ES-580W takes less than a half hour to scan an entire over 200-page reverse mortgage (and it’s only that long because of connecting my Surface with the cell signal to the scanner).
