Just got this notification today that Amrock is rebranding itself.
"Hello Signing Agents!
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with you. As part of our commitment to growing and evolving within Rocket Companies®, Amrock will rebrand to Rocket Close in Spring 2025."
I wonder if this is due to the negative publicity and legal problems Rocket Mortgage is currently dealing with recently. " CFPB Files Lawsuit to Stop Illegal Kickback Scheme to Steer Borrowers to Rocket Mortgage" and " Justice Department Sues Rocket Mortgage, Appraisal Management Company and Appraiser for Race Discrimination in Mortgage Refinance Application".
Yes I think it is, I was closing for them when they changed to rocket mortgage prior was quicken… a re-brand after the huge misappropriation of loans.amazing what CEO’s get away with… I knew when a few months back all of a sudden Amrock was slow, then I started seeing their closings on other platforms.
Aren’t their origination fees very high? I’ve had signers say before they weren’t going with them because it was too expensive. I missed my chance to be on board with them when I was too busy to fill out the application. Ever since then they advise me they are saturated in my area. One very good company used to specialize in their loans but rarely paid over $75 per signing. During Covid they were forced to up their fees and they went out of business, or stopped being a contender in 2021. I was sorry to see them go.
“Rocket close” has slowed to a crawl since rebranding, in my experience. Since the name change I will get notifications but no new offers to review. Even when I’ve been in the app simultaneously during a “ding”. Have reloaded the software and notified Rocket to no avail. My profile score remains 100. Something is going on unless my local competition has figured out how to code an auto open response? Too bad because they were easy closings, min. pages and hybrids. Kept pay profitable by keeping distance near by.
Their pricing is low ball and flat rate as ever. Thankfully when i was willing to work with them their loans were very cookie cutter and consise. If they were bloated like other companies I wouldn’t have bothered. I parted ways with them after their accounting department made a demand to update my information, I wasn’t willing to jump through hurdles just because they said so.
Hi All, I did procure a couple of more Rocket orders finally. But still wonder why so many last month and early this month would “ding” the app with no offer available within a second of viewing. I did write to Rocket support and received the usual what version of Android? Please reinstall, etc. etc. all of which I tried. And then ironically later that week one came open.
I’m still suspicious some have figured out how to code for an “auto response” but can’t prove it.
Yes I agree and thank you. But I would expect no notifications if just slow. My normal flow with rocket is 10-15 per month and I keep those within a 20 mile radius due to price / profit ratio. So really I don’t mean to complain, just mostly interested if anyone else experiencing the same notification issue with no offers with immediate viewing time.
@mwomick86 I appreciate your situation & know that there are myriad variations between different cell phone brands, software versions, other APPs that are open ( which may ‘interfere’ ), and the list goes on and on . . .
Continue to monitor & make notes on the dates, times, scenarios, etc. Share those with Vendor Maintenance for further determination of a possible “source” for the impairment.
