What is a good laserjet black and white printer scanner that prints both letter and legal size pages from a single document that is inexpensive

I have the Xerox B315 bought it direct at the website for under $350. Ink is not cheap. Prints about 35 pages a minute. But I like Xerox this answer will always be different depending on who you ask.

Hi Leslie, there are always treasures to be found on Facebook Marketplace depending on how far you are willing to drive: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/108109819210122/search?query=“dual%20tray%20laser%20printer” If you find a laser printer you like that fits your budget, make sure you also check to see whether it has Wifi (if you need it) and that you are able to get replacement cartridges/drums for it.
Personally, I am a huge fan of the Brother Monochrome dual-tray laser printer. I only have to buy BLACK TONER, not color. They run about $400 new. But sometimes you can find used ones for $200 or less. I see used ones on FB Marketplace from time to time and you can always try to negotiate further with the Seller if their listed price doesn’t fit you. Ask Seller to let you do a print test before you hand over money on FB Marketplace. (And be sure to ask if they will include any extra toner cartridges or drums they have left over!)
A nice thing about buying a USED dual tray laser printer, is that the printer will likely already be set up and ready to print letter & legal sized paper. If you buy a new unit, you have to do some set up to get it going but it is fairly straight forward and there are YouTube videos if you get stuck.

Good recommendation. Over the years, I’ve worn out a few Brother MFC series printers.
