I bought Brother MFC-L5850DW, but it only came with one tray. I ended up purchasing a extra tray for multi scanning. Bought mine new at Office Depot on sale for $299 and the dual tray was $165 so it cost me as much as buying a dual tray laser printer. Just make sure you buy a (black ink only) monochrome with dual tray.

Brother MFC-L6800DW. Get both trays. Good high volume machine, holds up well, switches seamlessly between legal and letter if you have the dual trays. Fast printer, excellent quality.

I also have the same printer MFC-L5850DW, and it does everything print, scans, fax. I recommend this all in one for printing good quality pages. In purchasing the second tray shop around for prices, I purchase the second tray for $270.

Also look at the Brother HL line, HL-L6200 and up. They are fast 35 ppm and they hold large amounts of paper in both trays. The 6200 gets 12,000 pages per toner cartridge and you can use third market brand toner (approx $14) and drums (approx $25) with absolutely no sacrifice in quality. Mine has been running strong for 4 years. Caveat: this line does not have a scanner. If you already have an all-in-one with a scanner that will suffice.
