Iv’e heard some notary sites are not really good. Can i get any suggestions as to where to advertise myself to get the most bussiness ? Thanks!
First, make sure all of your existing online profiles are COMPLETE. Sites like NotaryCafe.com and SigningAgent.com are where a lot of hiring companies go to find a local notary for their signings.
Next, my opinion for new folks starting out in this business is to start with FREE ADVERTISING first and only move on to paid advertising as needed. Otherwise paying for advertising is like dumping money into a bottomless hole. Make sure you/your business are searchable/able to be found online in Google Maps, Edge, etc., for someone looking for a notary public or a notary signing agent in your area. If you have already made a free Google Maps business listing, then search and locate your business to help move it up in the search results so that people don’t have to scroll down/search as much to find you.
Finally, keep in mind that things are slowwwwwww right now for everyone, Jerry. Fires in CA, pending new administration, everyone waiting to see if/when the Fed is going to lower interest rates and by how much… If we do get a substantial cut in the interest rates, prepare for the inevitable onslaught of Refinance assignments.
