Cloud signings closed

Cloud Signings has ceased business. (I wonder why). They owe me for 8 invoices. I have been trying to get paid for 3 mths. I received an email from them that they are no longer in business. Do they owe anyone else money? Is there a way to get paid from lender? Looking for any kind of advice. I will never do 60 day terms again! Lesson learned..Thanks!

Thanks for the update!

The forum is covered with threads on them not paying notaries. You can submit your invoices again but this is rough for anyone they owed. There are some over 30 days that pay when they say. But cloud is well known for stiffing notaries. No wonder they closed.

I will be starting a small claims suit against them in the State of Oregon, if anyone else is in my state, please call me and we can file a joint claim against them. Look into your state laws about filing suit. They are going to file bankruptcy so make sure you get on their list of have to pays. They owe me a lot for just two signings as I did a bit of traveling.

I never had a problem getting paid until this last one and now I am told they are shutting down. It’s been awhile since I got burned. Still hurts.:face_without_mouth:

Yeah! They owe me $1,300! I’d love to know how to get paid too. I’ve been chasing payments since July 2025.

I am not surprised that they went out of business. They low balled fees and were notorious for paying late. The handful of jobs which I did for them were a struggle to get paid. It always took me roughly 60-90 days (and repeated emails) to get them to pay. I eventually stopped accepting work from them and put them on my blacklist. It was the best decision, as they tried to rebrand to a new name, and now they’re out of business. My heart goes out to my fellow notaries still waiting on payment; I sincerely hope that you are able to get your well deserved payments before we all learn of a chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Well, I guess this answers why I haven’t been paid for 2 outstanding invoices. I didn’t even get the courtesy of a “we are out of business” email.

They formed a new LLC right before they closed called Cloud Freight Logistics LLC. The CEO is a con artist. He’s going to have a number of lawsuits on his hands in PA very soon.

I just wanted to take a moment to make sure that everyone knows that Cloud Signings is NOT the same company as Ever Cloud Signings LLC. I only bring it up because I have seen multiple other posts that confuse Cloud Signings with Ever Cloud Signings. Again, they are NOT the same company. Ever Cloud Signings is an awesome signing service that pays well, and on time.
Note: I am not an employee of Ever Cloud Signings, but they have proven to be a great partner for me as a signing agent.

Send a collection letter and an invoice for each job that hasn’t been paid by Cloud Signings by Certified Mail to the last known address you have for Cloud Signings. (You can also forward a copy of the letter and the invoice to the title company if the job was real estate connected). These efforts are to document your attempt to collect your fee from Cloud Signings if they file for bankruptcy or if you decide to file a claim against them. Write down the name of the owners or anyone connected to ‘Cloud Signings. They will probably pop up with a new company sometime in the near future.

Stated terms from a signing service don’t mean anything. If they don’t want to (or can’t) pay you, there is really not a whole lot that you can do. For that reason, if there is any question in my mind about a signing service paying, I will extend them the credit of one invoice. I certainly won’t take an additional job from them until I have been paid for the previous job. How they owe anyone for 8 invoices is just amazing to me.

No, this dirtbag never paid me on my last signing done back in June. I had to make a second trip with the client from their house to Starbucks to get someone there to be act as a witness. And he wouldn’t pay me for the second trip or even entire for the signing. Instead, he assigned another notary to go out and sign the customer. Again, I don’t know how they took care of a witness.

I think you will be out of luck if they are out of business. The best you can do is claim the loss of income on your taxes and recover in that way
good luck with any lawsuit against them..the cost of a good attorney would supersede your loss of income. Small claims is your best bet but then again getting the money is another thing. good luck!

I highly recommend getting Legal Shield. NNA supports and has info on this. I had issues with another Signing Service and as soon as my attorney from Legal Shield sent them a letter, they paid. Then they were put on my own blacklist.

Does that go under misc expenses? I’m out $1,290.

Oh wow! This is awful!

this is great information, thanks for sharing

Hi, I would definitly join you. Im so upset about this. They owe me for 7 signings. I had been sending them invoices for 45 days and calling them, to no avail. To get an email that they ceased business. Let me know what I need to do to join you in this claim. I’m in Georgia.

Thanks!

No. that corporation was created in 8/47/2025, Cloud Signings is still an active company. they may be closing, but they renewed the corporation for another year.
