Cloud Signings, LLC

Well, it looks like I am going to be one of the many screwed by Cloud Signings. I closed for them Oct 2, 2024. I have not been paid and unable to speak to anyone besides an email. I am now on the phone with the lender. Obviously, Freedom Mortgage hired and paid them for this file, I don’t care who pays me but, someone needs to. Any advise?

Wait until December 2 and then contact them. They are a 60 day pay company. It ;probably says so in their terms and conditions - the box we click accept on without reading.

I did not sign any contract with them. They sent a text, I texted back what I would do the job for, they accepted it. I do not work for them direct or have a contract with them. I never checked a box either. Maybe they should have returned my email stating they pay in 60 instead of ignoring me. They only way I received a response is because I posted on Notary Cafe otherwise, they would have not gotten back to me. And the last thing they should have done was threaten me. Talk about a bad taste! I will not work for them again.

Tell me, why should someone not look to be paid for the work they do? Do you just let it go? I do not work for free.

I was referring to jobs on snapdocs and other platforms where you usually have to hit an “agree” box to view the order or download documents. Many of the companies using those platforms have their payment terms in small letters somewhere in that document. Earl is talking about how many times people have posted to the forum regarding their slow pay habits.

I filed a complaint with the PA Secretary of State (SOS) over Cloud Signings. They call from a CA number however their checks come from a PA address. I was told it could 6-8 weeks to hear from the PA SOS. However, if you index Cloud Signings under the CA Secretary of State they come up as Ever Cloud Signings. Notaries who have not been paid within Clouds “net 60 day pay” should file a complaint with the PA SOS.

Sorry, you are mis-informed. Ever Cloud is a reputable company that pays. Cliud Signings is an entirely different company-that is known for non pay/extemly low pay.

No…she is correct. If you do a business search in CA for Cloud Signings, it comes up Ever Cloud Signings, LLC

I am just saying, they are not affiliated companies. Ever Cloud is an upstanding business. The other, not so much.

No, you do not need to “let it go.” You can send them a demand letter stating that you will be notifiying their Secretary of State, Attorney General, local law enforcement, the title company, etc. of their theft of services if they do not pay you by such and such date.

They pay the weekend AFTER the 60th day- if you are lucky. I’ve only done two with them. They were scheduled about a month apart, so I wasn’t aware of the payment issues until I didn’t get the first one in a timely manner. I too was not aware of the 60 days until I started inquiring. Agree- they do not respond to emails, voicemails, etc. The first one was paid after 10pm on the Sunday following the 60th day. So I patiently waited for the second payment. When Monday came around and I wasn’t paid and had ZERO response- I simply contacted the title company directly. (I keep records of contact information, loan numbers, file numbers, settlement agents, etc.- for just this reason) Then I got a response from Cloud and they were NOT happy. I told them they should respond to inquiries and pay as per the agreement terms. They then said they would remove me from their agent list- I told them they did me a favor, because I would never work for them again.
I wish there was a way that signing agents could let the title companies know when they are hiring companies that stiff their notaries and low ball them.

You are correct. They are definitely NOT the same company.

Well I’m not going to accept any work from Coast to Coast signings after reading so many negative comments here in Notary Cafe. I’m appreciative to have this platform to review non paying signing companies. I’ve been doing this for many years and most companies paid in a timely manner! Things have changed!!

If they can keep comments and ratings on us , why can’t we on them!
