Hello, I am a new signing agent. I get several emails request from Coast2Coasr for $30. I haven’t accepted any as that seems rather low. How do you all handle these offers if you get them? Has anyone attempted to call them with a counter offer?
I have been experiencing the same thing. I kept saying I was available and was never placed until today. The signing said 11-30 pages, but what they did not include is how many copes you have to make. So at the end it adds up to around 80+ pages. In the future I am going to counter offer.
Hope this helps
I got them up to 45.00. It is for loan modifications because of the pandemic.
Respond: Too low fee. They are very late in payment. Not worth the effort.
I wouldn’t do it for that money if it was my next door neighbor. They are insulting.
I always counter offers from C2C (low ball slime that they are). I don’t fall for that line only 30 pages. Agree after you print docs x2 plus whatever instructions necessary for signing it adds up. My fee stays constant per zip code and I do not adjust for page count ~ notary contractors don’t. Any zip code gets charged +$25 for scan backs. All notary costs have increased since COVID and entities processing refi’s, buys, sells, etc. have passed trillion dollar mark during this time. Know your value.
It is not worth the notaries time to respond to these low offers… we are worth more than that.
$30 is a joke. Period. My PPE costs are $5, so that is a nope. Other companies are paying fair, so I am not down for what my friends call the “60/40 madame split.” LOL.
BEWARE: I recently accepted a very, very, last minute signing from said company for $125. It turned out the company did not disclose it was for two loans ($62.50 a package!). I came back and stated that was “bait and switch.” I was given an additional rate for the second package, lower than I would have normally accepted any day of the week. I was asked, “wasn’t I happy I was being paid for the second signing?” FYI- I am not an indentured slave by accepting the original assignment either.
I did not press it further as it was not the borrowers fault. Frankly it was a crappy place to be put in, and I resented it completely. I decided that I would just refuse to accept any further work from that company, especially if they were able to decide what I was allowed to earn. Naughty, naughty. They can run their business their way, but they are not allowed to run mine. I wish them the best.
Thanks for this info. I’ve been getting lots of these offers and was considering it. I did actually counter a few times but haven’t received any confirmations.
But, knowing they are let ng about page count…that’s just annoying.
Maybe I’ll keep countering with a high fee and if they bite, it would be worth it.
Wow. I’m sorry that happened to you. That wasn’t cool at all.
I took the $45-$75 offers that were up to 45 minutes drive away. I was new. Then I made a horrible signing — multiple errors, stupid errors, no idea where my brain was. I watched as the forwarded horrible messages AND then the answers they gave. They backed me completely. I jumped, fixed the errors within an hour but couldn’t get them fedex’d until next day. C2C continued to back me, email, then the next day phoned me. Fabulous call (that I didn’t want to answer). She told me that the fact I’d jumped at the error, took responsibility, and moved as quickly as possible made me very valuable. Because of that I learned how to jump (and haven’t had to since). They also up’d my ranking (now I’m highly ranked) and raised all my offers to $95-150. Paying the price to learn was well worth developing a relationship. I will work with C2C whenever possible.
They have been no more than 10 minutes away from my house. They take 15 minutes and have been about 8 pages with only 1 page needing to be notarized. Strange thing. About two weeks ago when I responded yes, I got the signing. Lately, I have been responding within seconds and I don’t get it.
That’s very lucky of you.
I am new too, and I never had any error. Still my ranking is low (I think); cuz I keep getting some $50-75 jokes offers. I countered back at least $100+ every time though.
I have accepted 5 already because they are 3 miles from my home. The package is 20 pages x 2 and there are only 12 signatures-no fax backs. These are my fill in jobs. I will see how they pay - I just started with them in August.
Yes, I had a Partial with them last week. I realize, as a newbie too, after all the copies and distance from my home, I lost money and in essence paid them to do the signing. Never again!
I took the time to calculate my profit margin threshold and will not accept any signings below that fee. I’m waiting to see if they pay on time (Net 30).

$30.00 not worth your time and effort when you add up your travel and printing cost of a set of two copies . I feel these companies should be paying more during these pandemic times.Notaries don’t do these lowball jobs these companies are charging these borrowers thousands of dollars for these documents while we do all the work and run the risk of getting the virus very time we go out.
I have never and never would do a signing for $30, that said I have no problem with any of my comrades that do. It simply comes down to knowing your worth.
I get a few per week at $75 per signing. They are local and I am trying to get more experience so I take them.
I sent them an email stating if they want me to do signings for them they need to offer me a min of $…period. Here are my prices and end of story. They now are doing better but if I don’t like it I counter offer and then say no. Sorry…eventually they come back with a nice offer.
I have done the same. Accepted several assignments that were close to home.a
