I totally understand why notary’s say get direct business! What a difference in the price and the minimal amount of work! Grateful for my first direct business and praying for more!
Sellers package 11 pages , no scans no faxing and in town! They asked me my price, agreed with my price and sent docs! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thank You! Best of luck to you as well!

Wondering if you had to print the docs or you picked them up at the Title Company?
Did you FedEx or had to drive to return docs to Title Co?

Very happy for your success and sharing the good news. Keep your good work!

Hi! Yes, I printed the docs and drove them to the title office the next day which is only 20 minutes from me. So it felt great to actually deliver, allow the officer to check them while I was there and meet the receptionists! Thank You! I’m hoping for more jobs from them!

That’s awesome. Yes, it’s like night and day working direct. Very grateful for my direct connections as well. Less work and more pay. Can’t beat it.

Thank You! I’m very grateful

So true! Since this is my first one I’m unstable how it’s actually going to work in regards to me being paid. The EO texted me yesterday and told me the closing had to be rescheduled due to repairs. Does that hold up my pay? Or is she just letting me know how it’s going?

You would have to ask the EO about that. When working direct, you are in the driver’s seat as a business owner. Money and payment need to be discussed before you do that job, for future reference. Right after you’re done with the appointment (within 24 hours), you should email the person who hired you an invoice. On my invoice, I give companies 14 days to pay and they are aware of that since it’s written on the invoice.

Thank You! Yes I sent the invoice the next morning. I also included on the invite net15 payment terms. I’ll see what she says about it this week.

Oh, dope. Looks like you have everything set up properly then. Regardless of what they say, payment is due in 15 days haha.

What do you use to send invoices

It MIGHT affect your pay only in the sense that you are usually paid when the file actually closes. But as @noblenotary615 mentioned, always best to ask the EO.

Hello, I actually have a classmates that works at a title company. I sent her my info and asked her to please consider me for any signings outside of their normal business hours that I could help them with. She then shared my info across her company! Within a week I had a last minute signing from them.
