Has anyone used the Notary Gadget Electronic Journal? If so, please share your experience.
Haven’t used Notary Gadget Electronic Journal, but I used to use Notary Assist that’s similar. Now I use closewise a more robust notary electronic system. But I still use a traditional notary journal binder. The electronic notary journal applications offer more features and benefits, such as accounting, reports (Expenses, taxes, mileage) , and other things. All these things are essential to our business. It has make my life so much easier and efficient, especially for tax purposes. Ah, did I forget to mention being able to know my productivity at a glance!
Thanks Carl, I always appreciate your responses. I’ll look into closewise. I do enjoy Notary Gadget for everything else.
Yes, and I love it!! Everything is consolidated in one page and reports are easy to download for end of the year reports that need to be given to the accountant. Super user friendly.
If you are using one of the platforms like Notarize with Proof or OneNotary, they retain a journal in their vaults for you for 5-7 years
If you are looking for an electronic notary journal to replace the paper books, I use Notary Act. I find it is efficient, as I can scan the barcodes on the rear of driver’s licenses and it auto-populates the fields with the signer’s info. Additionally, if using the app on a tablet, you can talk-to-text fill in other fields, and GPS on any type of device will auto populate the signing location.
The biggest time saver is on large document packages, such as reverse mortgages or VA loans. I can pre-tag my journal before arrival using the draft feature, then the designated signer’s info is filled in at the signing and it is done. It has been a huge timesaver for me, especially since I serve a large area as we quickly go from small city to vast countryside.
That you so much. I like everything about this one. I’ll definitely check it out.
