Excuse me while I cuss at this loan officer

Arrived at a signing last night that had been postponed from day before.

The signer says “I wasn’t signing until I received information in advance as required by law” and he proceeds to get very animated, telling me the loan officer had been harassing him non stop and he wished he had never gone with this company.

I set up, explain the process, his phone rings and he answers it and proceeds to scream at the loan officer telling him he is completely unprofessional and YES SHE WAS ON TIME WHAT DOES IT MATTER!!!

He hangs up and says why does the loan officer need to know if you arrived on time.

Explains his night work schedule is insane he needs to be done in 45 minutes.

We begin - ten minutes later, his phone rings again he just ERUPTS.

Wow. We get through the documents and my phone rings - the loan officer - did it get signed?

That was crazy. A VA loan. The signer says yeah he wants to write me another loan in six months when rates come down.

After twenty grand in closing costs? I said nothing but am thinking Vets need to run from this company.

I don’t blame the guy. I’d be ticked off too. And I also wouldn’t be able to tolerate that micromanaging. Kudos to you for keeping your cool

I’ve noticed a lot of ‘churning of Vets’ by several Lenders. Makes me ill.

THe VA has the required document that tells the borrower how many months they have to pay to recuperate the closing costs I see from 25 months to 45 months and then they have a loan officer saying I’m gonna call you in six months when the rate drops and we’ll do another loan, knowing full well that is gonna screw the borrower over on fees. It does make me sick. It’s just shameful.

That doc you mentioned becomes the 1st doc I have them look at (the Fab Four become the Fab Five). It rarely registers with ‘em. “Yeah, but my payment is $5 less!” smh, but not my call.
