Experiences with Coast to Coast Signing; payments

Hello everyone,

I get a lot of texts regarding new assignments for Coast to Coast Signings. Please let me know your recent experiences. I have been told they are slow at paying.

Thanks,
Chase

They are slow to pay, but if you are brand new, they are always available for questions and that is so rare anymore. I learned a great deal taking their assignments my first year. I haven’t done a lot for them this year. It depends on cash flow as to whether I take them or not. I always have to counter higher and don’t always get the orders. You have to be diligent to collect. But my personal experience has ever been as horrible as people report here. 45-60 days.

Yes, they offer a lot of loan modification closings which take less than 10 minutes to complete, however the fees are very low. I charge $100 to handle loan modifications, $50.00 at the lowest. I use those as fillers if i don’t have many appointments scheduled. They are slow to pay but you’ll receive an e-check roughly 30-40 days.

$30 dollar offers, please. I did a loan mod for them for rocket and now trying to get paid on that. 12/2/24, still waiting on my payment - ugh

Don’t take any job for $30. Surely notaries know that by now. I can’t print and drive for $30 and even break even on expenses.

nope, when the initial offer is that low and the company does business a certain way, I prefer to steer clear all together

I have done more than a few closings with Coast to Coast. The initial offer is always extremely low. And as others have reported here, I don’t always get it when I counter, but that’s fine. I have never been paid by them, not once, without having to ask for my payment. I give them 57 days. I message them on their platform for each closing. I tell them I have not been paid, how many days ago I did the closing, I have checked with Deluxe Payment Exchange and it is not there. They almost always pay me within 24 hours after that. I learned to be proactive with the information. Otherwise you get, “Please check with DPE”, etc. It is irritating, but I will do it if business has been slow and I want to keep my skills sharp. They are always courteous.

I have watched almost all of their training videos, I’ve participated in some live ones. During one live session an agent in CA told the owner that she needed cash flow and could not wait over a month to be paid and the owner’s Mom said “we’ll put you on a bi weekly pay schedule”. And that to me was an actual red flag. Why can’t all the agents be on bi weekly pay schedules? Why does someone have to complain during a live zoom to get the answer we all want? I used to do a ton for them and now I rarely get contacted. I don’t know if that’s because they aren’t doing as much in my region or if they decided not to use me. There are way more that want to use me than do not so that’s okay. I really loved that the one owner would ALWAYS respond to a texted question from the table. I always felt very supported when I did their contracts.

My policy with coast 2 coast is that I accept the order, I conduct the appointment and then send coast 2 coast the scans. They then pay me the entire agreed upon amount through Zelle, PayPal, etc, once I have confirmation from my bank that payment is received then I drop the package for shipping. I am a small self-employed notary. I simply can’t afford to float these signing companies 60, 90 days and sometimes more. It simply isn’t fair.
