Finding a 3rd party vendor for being a Remote Online Notary in Florida

Posted October 03 2025 830 am EST

I am in the process of getting my Remote Online Notary (RON) credentials and certification as I have renewed my traditional Notary credentials for the first time and want to start a Notary Signing business. Here in Florida before one even gets the RON commission the Dept of State wants one to register with a 3rd party RON certified vendor who will provide all the services (audio/visual and storage retention/security) for the services provided. I have looked into 3 companies so far: 1)SigniX 2)NotaryCam and 3)Proof by Notarize. Has anyone used any or all of the above vendors? Do you have any other recommendations or opinions as to the ease/hardship that these vendors cause for Florida RON businesses? All comments appreciated as I will be getting my package to send to Tallahassee together in the next week so I do have some leeway before I have to commit to one of the companies before I submit my credentials and paperwork. Thank you in advance.

@ccarman69 Regarding the third-party vendors you’ve researched for your Florida Remote Online Notary (RON) application, I can confirm that all the companies you’ve mentioned are viable options. However, it’s important to note that SigniX operates on a subscription-based model, which means there will be associated costs to utilize their platform. In addition to the companies you’ve already investigated, I would also strongly recommend exploring BlueNotary. They present a flexible approach by offering both a free option and a paid membership, allowing you to choose the plan that best suits your budgetary needs and business requirements. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, please make sure to thoroughly review the official list of vendors approved by the state of Florida for RON services to ensure complete compliance with all regulations.

One Notary I recommend if you are in Florida. You will get a guaranteed 20 hours a week and paid hourly plus can get extra money with on demand. Let them know I referred you. Sabella Neal

Thank you CFletcher, valuable insight and information. I appreciate it. Already looking into BlueNotary but their system is currently unable to approve/ read my account so I may need to contact customer service over that soon.
