This is my first time here. How I actually found this place was by trying to find info on Cloud Signings. I took a low paying job for them ($20) since it was a simple signing and very close. This is my only experience thus far that has been bad. They are horrible at communicating, it’s been over two months and no payment from them. If I email them they ask for the file # which I give them and then they just ignore me. I know $20 is peanuts but it blows me away that they treat people this way for such a small amount. I did them a favor by doing the work. It appears others have issues with these guys too. I got another offer from them but they kept spamming the request at almost nothing. I’ll never take another job from this signing service again. I emailed the general email and included the accounting email as well, but it looks like a loss at this point…
So far all my other experiences have been positive.
@RickOShay The General Consensus is that most have an identical perspective toward that business entity. RUN as fast as you can - the OTHER DIRECTION!

This information is a GOLDMINE!

I’ve performed a cursory Search on your behalf and the results show ** 50+ separate** threads (in addition to yours) about this particular topic. There is a plethora of data immediately available on the threads within Notary Cafe.
Cloud Signing payment policy is 60 days. So if you are paid at 60 days they feel they are paying on time. (I do feel that 60 days is excessive.)
I had 3 signings that were way past 60 days and sent a request to their accounting with no response.
I then sent an email to accounting and their general email address detailing the signing day, order number, the due date, the Title Company information along with title’s number, the Loan Company information along with the loan number. I gave them a deadline of 10 days to pay or I would be contacting the Title Company and Loan Company requesting their assistance in the matter.
I received a response within a day, and was paid by the deadline I requested.
In the past they have paid after 60 day payment due date, but I needed to send a reminder. It does seem though that I have needed to get more aggressive with them.
Don’t know if I will do any signings for them in the future.
I think the key is to keep following up. 60-90 days is what I see on resolutions. Just don’t let them off the hook. Start adding a $10 late fee to your invoice every week they are past 60 days. I’m not saying they’ll pay it but it lets them know you’re not going to forget it.
I unfortunately also took a (first experience) loan signing assignment through Cloud Signings for $20. It was back in November. I have been a notary since 2023 but mostly do GNW and trust signings. This assignment was 8 minutes from my house and really only 2 notarizations for a partial claim. The client was so nice and that part of the experience was easy and good. They are terrible though, I still have never been paid. I have sent a couple of follow up emails, and got advice from my mentor group and some others on how to try to chase down the $20. So far though, nothing in response. Lesson learned now that I keep reading about others having bad experiences. Sorry that you had this similar unfortunate experience!
So I sent an email to the general email address and their accounting one sternly saying it’s past due, that I would charge a late fee if it went past next Friday and that I would inform the title company that they are nonpayers. I got a response today saying it would be paid this weekend. We’ll see. I’m at their mercy. I just can’t believe you would treat people this way…
I’m a newbie as well and I have to say from what I have seen so far they start off the lowest and take the longest to payout. I have heard in other forums here that they do pay but its a long waiting period. The agreement they would have had you signoff on should have stated what I have attached below. For now, I am still taking assignments but as soon as I see the low offer, I counter with $75-$125 basically telling them to accept or to find another agent. Even though the $75-125 is lower than other experienced agents would accept for the job, I feel like I need to start somewhere and gain experience. Thus far, they have accepted some counteroffers and some I have not seen come back. Lastly, I will say that the offer also will increase the longer they remain unassigned but I never wait for that process I get right to the point and counteroffer. Hope this helps, hang in there you will see higher paying gigs from other companies. Do not forget to invoice them!!

@RickOShayCongratulations! That is a VERRRRY LONNNNG time to wait for remuneration of your professional services & for repayment of the out-of-pocket expenses you immediately incurred on the date of the signing for their signing order.

Thank You for returning with your direct experience/update.

Somewhere in the fine print they say they pay 60 BUSINESS days from signing and need an invoice. I finally got paid after 90 days. I will not take any work from them again.
If you take orders without research - which most have done at the beginning - look them up on the forum. You’ll find Cloud Signings at the top of the Class for Slow Pay / No Pay.
If you take a signing and look them up and don’t think you want to work for them based on what you see - call and get unassigned. Don’t use any auto function for unassigning because that can effect availability of orders instead call whoever hired you and have a car issue that prevents you from completing the job - so sorry.
I never tell someone I won’t work for you blah blah blah. Just make up car maintenance and a safety issue. I think avoiding negative interaction with signing services is the way to go. They talk, too. Just my advice.
People aren’t always 100% right when they say avoid this co or that company but if the forum has multiple threads about the same company being lousy at paying chances are that’s reliable. Probably a good decision to avoid this company.
Rick, in addition to the resources available on this platform, I suggest looking up the Deadbeat Signing Companies group on FaceBook. They maintain a list of companies notorious for paying late or not at all.
