I received a text about a signing, accepted the assignment, but haven’t heard back from the company. Is this typical procedure?
Yes. That same text was blasted out to a group of notaries. If it was assigned to you, they will follow up and let you know.
You’re locked in if you received a confirmation. Plan accordingly.
If you don’t get a text, email or phone call confirmation normally within 5 minutes of initially accepting a request then someone else got it.
Thank you for responding.
Thank you for your feedback.
I kept going back to my email, hoping I didn’t miss anything. Thank you.
That’s just the way it works.
Joe the Pro’s: Explaining the text method bidding process for beginners. Signing service has a big beautiful list of loan signing agents in your area. Service sends out a group text, then filters the replies. The process doesn’t work like Family Feud; first choice always goes to the “CASH COWS”. These are seasoned loan signers that aren’t concerned with the meager offer, housewives, house husbands, retirees, notaries who might do a loan signing for free just to feel needed. Only if there’s no response will your bid be considered. You will read some impassioned responses about “low ballers” but it’s not the new notaries that are causing the low fees. For example, there are hundreds of newly commissioned loan signers in my high brow neighborhood. Obviously not one of my competitors is doing this for a living.and that’s okay because I’m somebodys cash cow too.
