What is considered solicitation? I have business cards that I would like to leave my signers when I do the closings but am afraid to violate the non-solicitation policies that the signing services have. Is leaving my business cards in violation of this policy?

I used to put borrowers’ copies in a manila folder held by a binder clip with my business card taped to the outside; also put the in the following order for their ready reference:
Right side of folder in clip:
NORTC (two signed copies for each borrower/person of interest)
CD
Note
Security Instrument
1003
Rest of supporting documents under them
On left side of folder I stapled or clipped the Amortization Schedule and the First Payment Letter (FPL on top).and the appraisal if provided.

There is no one fool-proof method to get business from title companies - the best method is the one that happens to work for you! All you can do is ask for the business and be upfront about the fact that you are new, you never know - a title company may be super busy at the end of the month or they may need an emergency out of the office signing done or their “regular” notary may be sick / unavailable and they could remember your name.

Is it okay to let them know you do GNW as well if they need a notary in the future?
