If you’re a notary working with Notary Nation, be careful—they have a history of not paying notaries for completed work!
I recently completed an assignment for them per their instructions, and despite multiple attempts to collect payment, they have ignored me. After doing some research, I found that I’m not the only one—many other notaries have reported the same issue.
I will be filing a complaint with the California State Attorney’s Office and encourage any other unpaid notaries to do the same. If you have had issues with them, speak up and warn others!

@nineerclarke Sorry to read about your direct experience with this NON-PAYING business entity. Wishing you the BEST of success with filing the complaint.
It’s ALWAYS best to vet your potential client prior to providing your professional services to avoid DEADBEATS.
Accessing the database to locate information about potential clients has saved many of us an inordinate amount of time ‘chasing’ payments for Services professionally provided to potential non-payers . . .
The immediately available information found within the Notary Cafe database is very helpful.
This information is a GOLDMINE!
Most members express that they find it difficult/NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to locate the Search Function in order to access the wealth of information available within the database.
To be helpful, I’ve inserted an image for you & others [see below] to help members locate it to unlock the wisdom & knowledge of other members on the forums.
I’ve performed a cursory Search on your behalf and the results show 19 separate threads (in addition to yours) about this particular business entity. There is a plethora of data immediately available on the threads within Notary Cafe.
Joe, you weren’t kidding! 1.5 star average from 40 reviews as of today’s date. Reading the 1 star reviews – look at all those unhappy, unpaid notaries!
They owe me for a signing in Dec 2024. I got the signing from Snapdocs and I reached out them and they weren’t able to help me get paid. As of about 2 weeks ago they were still on Snapdocs and I don’t understand how they continue allow them on the platform knowing that they are not paying notaries.
I do when they don’t come from known sources. In this case it came through Snapdocs and I’ve been working on this platform for over 5 years and I have never had an issue with payment.
@Sundress Sorry to read about the non-payment with that platform/business entity.
Unfortunately, that platform that doesn’t vet the clients . . .
For future Signing Orders [SOs], it would serve you best to vet any potential client coming through any platform, because many Signing Services [SSs] are unable to fulfill their SOs due to their non-payment reputation.

Also, you may find these two posts quite helpful in this instance of non-payment:
Earl you know perfectly well if you take the time to look up a company you won’t get the order anyway. So it’s better to take it, then do some research and if you feel you can’t do it, find a reason to call and get removed. You can’t fault people for wanting appointments.
It doesn’t take that long to look up a company. Opportunity come up open another window have notary rotary loaded up click on the letter of the company will give you the info.
Or, simply choose to Accept the Signing Order [SO] proffered, THEN Research & vet the potential client.
If their reputation & remuneration interval meets your business plan criteria => Great!
If not? Turn the SO back to them citing the reason why it’s being returned.

Many notaries are on the road and are not on a PC with multiple windows open and many offers are gone in under 60 seconds. And considering how many times I’ve seen things posted telling notaries to not work for x y or z company without having any bad experience myself. I just make my own decisions these days. We’ll just have to file it under whatever works for you is okay by me, Earl.
