Got a call from Prestige Notary. I asked them when I was going to get paid for the jobs I already did? She blew past that question, trying to get me interested in doing another one. I think not. Told her I was not interested and they were being reported as non paying on several forums. I hung up. 2 hours later a guy called, trying to get me to take a job. I told him the same thing. They don’t call back, they don’t email and they don’t pay. Would you work for someone like that? He hung up. Good luck doing work for Prestige Notary!

Thank You
for sharing this update.
It would be helpful if you could ADD/EDIT the thread title to include the term WARNING or ALERT, etc. Thanks.

In their defense, the schedulers are not involved in who gets paid and when. That’s all on the owner, Jennifer Garland (or whatever name she’s going by now). You are completely correct in not accepting any further jobs from them until they pay you for the outstanding overdue invoices. Even then, I would question if I want to get involved again with such an unreliable company, since it’s likely that it will always be a struggle to get paid by them.
Not only do some companies do not pay, but has anyone asked why it takes 30-45 days to get paid?
I worked for a gigantic multi national billion dollar company for 20 years.
They paid all their bills net 90 because the interest earned not sending that money out made up for the bi*tching and complaining by their vendors. Who did business with them anyway. Because they were all over the world.
Services are operating on the closing payments they get in 10 days. Collecting interest.
I worked with Jennifer directly..i always got paid..once during a friendly business conversation, she told me of a law firm who engaged Prestige for signings.
They owed her $450,000.00 in fees..I said it must be nice to be able to be financially successful enough to ignore a $450 k debt.
The law firm was close to me..i offered to help her get paid..she never followed up and neither did I.
I thought she was a professional and I always got paid. Its been 2 years since I heard from them, but I dont do any signings for anyone. Except friends and family ..no banks title companies..etc
Companies do pay if you do the research and pick good companies.
I got a request from Prestige Companies which I hadn’t heard of. But the name scared me off. If it’s a signing service unrelated to Prestige Notary a name change might be a good idea.
Please report them to the platform they are using! And can you share what platform they used?
It was a few days ago I am not sure.
I refused a closing with them other day. I told him I do not want to work for you. You don’t pay and the guy hung up on me.![]()
I called them and told them that I know I am not supposed to reach out to title but if they did not have a payment to me by the end of the week. I was calling title and reporting them. I had payment the next day.
I believe your statement is a bit inaccurate. Schedulers are paid when disbursement is completed. They chose to wait to pay you to collect as much interest as possible. I know my $150 is not very much interest but when you combine it with all the other notaries they contract it is substantial. There is no defense for not paying the notary who is Boots on Ground. Or if you don’t bring it to their attention, they will not pay you at all.
Regardless of when schedulers get paid, they still don’t have control over when the notary gets paid. I think it’s obvious that Jennifer pays her schedulers or else they wouldn’t continue working there. It would get to be quite a burden to always have to hire new schedulers, I would think.
Isn’t that the point, she is running a business that employees schedulers, that contract notaries, but if you are not paying the notaries then you won’t have a business. They chose to work for her and contract notaries that they know will either be paid slowly or not at all. There is no defense for slow or no pay companies or those that are employed for those companies that have no problem with stiffing the notary that is BOG.
They told me the same thing and last week sent another email and this is the lastest update that I got from them. We were delayed because of temporary cash flow issues with a few of our largest clients, and while we were working through that, we learned we had to stop using Checkbook.io. That forced us to move our onboarding with Zil Money up by about four weeks.
Zil Money has been amazing and has done custom development for us on a very short timeline. They are still building out some of the features we need to pay hundreds of notaries in batches and allow each notary to choose their preferred payment method and payee name.
In the meantime, we are having to do a lot of this manually, which is slowing us down.
I am personally working through our backlog of accounting emails today so I can get everyone answers, and then we are right back to catching up on payments.
I know we have asked a lot of you, but will you please be patient with us just a little while longer? I promise you will get your payment. We aren’t going anywhere, and we aren’t walking away from what we owe you. We just need a little more time to get through the backlog.
Thank you for hanging in there with us. I do appreciate it. ![]()
@forcrystalclearnotary For clarity, would you ADD quotation marks at the beginning & the end of their email message please?
Thank You
