Reporting the UPS store for grand theft polybag

Every time I try to order the poly bags from UPS I get cardboard shippers so I think I finally ordered the correct item if anyone has an item number I would love to have that.

Had a package to drop off thought I better pick up some extra bags since it’s sometimes a wait for UPS supplies.

I am in shock I was charged almost $18 for 4 poly bags that are plain white not even with a logo.

That is just robbery.

Item number: 010195111 for the UPS polybag

Go to UPS; click on Shipping (on top banner); under Shipping Tools, click on Order Supplies; click on Order Supplies; be prepared to sign in to your UPS account, then click on continue; under Supplies, click on Packaging and scroll down past “Boxes” 'til you get to Paks; you’ll see UPS Express Pack, click in the small square under “action” to order 50 pieces. The item number appears as the last line in the description.

If you have an account with UPS, there will be no charge for the supplies or delivery via UPS.

Hope this helps.

I think the order I placed is that it took forever to find the poly bags. I have mistakenly ordered the cardboard envelope so many times they won’t let me re-order them for a while.

If you paid for shipping bags at UPS, somebody was ripping you off. To the best of my knowledge, none of the shippers (Fedex, UPS, DHL USPS) charges any kind of a fee for their shipping bags, sleeves, envelopes, pouches, whatever, especially if you’re hand-delivering at the store. $18 for four poly bags, really??? They should have shown you a fee chart or something.

Check the pull-up panel of UPS/FedEx DROPBOXES. They usually have labels & polypaks for people to take & use. You may have to check every drop box you see ‘til you find some. Don’t know if it’s because somebody grabbed ‘em all or if the driver just didn’t re-stock.

Editing/adding: Altho’ this doesn’t happen now, IF you ever have to fill out a label for delivery to TC who only provided their Acct. Number….NEVER use labels you have ordered because the tracking numbers on your ordered labels are linked to YOU & you’ll wind up paying if things go south. Whereas, the Tracking # on labels scrounged from dropbox guarantee this won’t happen.
I learned that lesson the hard way years ago–when they always just provided Acct. # & N had to fill out the label.

What does it say? And shouldn’t we avoid drop boxes?

Had similar experience when ordering supplies approx 1 month ago. After receiving incorrect items called Customer Service. She explained Website for supplies in process of being updated. She never did tell me new item number but did send poly bags. Number shown is 010195104 also detailed 04/21 so this may be old number now. Unwanted supplies received I donated to local UPS store. Good luck !!

The carriers don’t charge for express packaging. They do charge for normal ground.

Do they charge for the shipping service or for the shipping envelope? In my experience, shipping packaging is always free.

It would be both. I did ship papets UPS ground before. I had to buy a shipping envelope and then pay for the shipping.

Doesn’t the lender or title or escrow furnish the shipping label in the signing package so you don’t have to pay for the shipping? Are you saying UPS and/or Fedex charges separately for the shipping envelope??

I did not pay to ship. I needed the envelope.

Was that at a The UPS Store or at an authorized shipping outlet? “4 poly bags that are plain white not even with a logo.” Sounds like you were sold some shipping merchandise they had on hand and not UPS shipping supplies.

Thank you so much! I went directly to my UPS account and ordered the large latex envelops. My last attempt resulted in cardboard mailers that will probably last me through the next 6 months. I’ve ordered the latex envelops before but was distracted last time. I’m keeping the number for the next attempt.

Our local UPS also charges a huge price for plain white polybags. I order mine from Amazon and use them when I run out of the official UPS poly bags. On Amazon they are under $15 for 100 pieces.

I found that several Title companies are aware UPS charges for supplies, and when asked (depending on your volume with them), they have shipped me a several month supply of polybags, as a courtesy, on the house….I usually able to obtain a half dozen or more label sleeves for the UPS stores just for the asking as they recognize me as a 3rd party shipper and since I don’t ask them for polybags which cost them a fair amount of money while receiving just pennies on the dollar of the shipping fee, but $18 for 4 bags is ridiculous, as I have been told they pay about $0.15-$0.25 a bag but only get a $1 or $ of the total shipping price…not sure what the real number might be, but my point here is “ask the title companies you work with for a little love, and to send you a batch of polybags”

Scroll down to “Large Polypacs,” item number, 010195104. That will solve your problems.

Try ordering the from the online UPS store the UPS Express Pak (poly bags) size: 16” x 12.75” (large) order #010195111

Why a nice man with UPS is sending me 50 of the large poly bags since I’ve jammed my account up getting too much stuff I don’t use. Plus I can give back the big cardboard envelopes. 25 will last me forever. They can have the other ones back. That item number was the ticket! So I have that saved now. I still can’t get over being charge almost $18 by a UPS store for plain white bags.

I never got Poly bags from UPS only FEDEX i didnt think they had any or they are prob going to stop making them.
