Is anyone else getting a message on the ups website saying
that their free account is no longer eligible to get supplies???
Do we have to pay now?
I saw your message and went on the UPS site to find out. I was still able to order supplies, so I donāt know what message youāre seeing.

UPS are bears. CALL them and EXPLAIN that you are a ā3rd party shipperā which is their jargon for someone who ships stuff with a label provided by someone elseā¦in our case: a Title Co. Waaay back, they were 'closing my accountā¦which I had provided a credit card to getā¦every 6 or 8 months due to non-use. Things may have changed since I did this 10-12? years ago, but I doubt it.

Maybe whatās happening here is that when a notary who lives in a rural area orders supplies and the UPS/FEDEX driver has to make a long (non-profitable) trip to their house simply to drop off a bunch of supplies that take up precious space on their truck, they donāt wanna do it. If you were that driver, would you wanna do it? Whatās in it for the driver? So, it is possible that some fees may be imposed.
What the heck do I know. Just a thought

Thanks, I will give them a call. Iāve never had a problem with the free account before.
After doing a little research on Reddit it seems that some free accounts have been flagged for not having enough purchase volume

@jennjoneis In my direct experience, your scenario arose on my UPS Account several years ago . . .
When I reached out to an Account Representative at UPS at that point in time, she advised me that Iād need to ācall inā the supplies order & Identify my account as a āThird-Party Shipperā account.
When I followed those instructions for the supplies order, a few weeks later I noticed that my UPS account then was enabled to order through it online once again.

I signed up just to thank one of the individuals who solved a problem for me in obtaining the UPS EXPRESS PLASTIC LEGAL SIZE ENVELOPES item #010195111ā¦I for years have signed up for FREE supplies from UPS and this year I couldnāt find the aboveā¦well one of your users solved that by saying they are now listed in PACKAGING and not with envelopes where you think they would be..and violaā¦there they wereā¦thank youā¦these are the only ones to use for heavy loan documentsā¦Have to also share..I use UPS.COM setup a sign in and password and you can order supplies FREE without having to setup an accountā¦I tried with no success calling UPS to tell me where that item no wasā¦can you believe noone at their 800 could helpā¦hopefully this helps for all of you needing these suppliesā¦

Thank you so much for putting this information out here for us. I just created an account via ups.com and placed my order for the pouches to put the shipping label in and the legal size box and envelops. I did not like to have to use my fed ex shipping pouches or the fed ex legal size shipping pacs for my ups docs.

It usually takes forever on the phone before they let me talk to an actual human
Now when I call ups it takes FOREVER before they let you talk to an actual human being verses AI bot
