No longer eligible to get UPS supplies online😲

I just was able to order supplies from the website. There might have been a maintenance issue. Please try again.

Maybe I’m just the lucky one, but less that 5% of my orders involve UPS.

If this helps, it might be worthwhile, if you’re near enough to a UPS store, to simply ask the clerk there to place a special order for you in an amount sufficient to cover you for, say 3 months (?) and then pick it all up when the order arrives. Do not use the UPS drive guy to do the drop off at your home/office in risk of him getting hip to what you’re doing and put a stop to it. Just a thought. . .

I just go into the store and they give me all the supplies I need; envelopes and sleeves for their labels. Never given me a hassle.

Hi, I’ve had a UPS account for a long long time. I have experiece the same issue….because It kept saying my account was NOT active. Then when I took the time (it took phone call after phone call, transfer to the IT dept and well, it was just AGGRAVATING). Now when I go online to order….guess what, SAME ISSUE,BUT….I found a way….when it ask for you to select Your account…don’t….use the NO ACCOUNT option. Then it should allow you to order. Good luck

Thanks I tried doing that and it still has the same response so I have to make the dreaded phone call

wishing you success and patience

One other thing that seems to avoid this issue: Try to spread your orders across the year by quarters. While that wastes a lot more of UPS time/gas to make 4 deliveries instead of 1 big one, it does seem to get around their AI deciding you don’t have enough volume, so bye-bye.

yeah now that I think about it I did place one huge order and nothing else this year

Thanks I’m trucking through

How’d it go? Any luck?

Well…. I spoke to AI for about ten minutes and then talked to a guy for 20 minutes

He sounded confused so ….I gave up. Maybe I’ll try again next week :joy::melting_face::sweat_smile:

@jennjoneis How did it go when you reached out once again? :woman_shrugging:

TO ALL NOTARY CAFE MEMBERS:

It appears the WORKAROUND of coding the Preferred Customer Account as a 3rd party shipper isn’t functioning accurately (reference the image below).

Even though definitively spacing orders over each quarter throughout the year - CONTINUE to note the displayed Error Code: ā€˜QUANTITY EXCEEDEDā€˜ in RED (reference the image below).

As such, reached out on Tuesday evening to UPS via their online ā€˜email’ for Support under the Topic of ā€œSending a Package/General/Sender.ā€œ

Within a few hours (early Wednesday morning) I received a Reply from a UPS Representative:

ā€œDear UPS Preferred Customer,

Thank you for your request. To process the supplies, please provide the quantity of each item that you need. Please use the format below:

  • Item#:

  • Quantity:ā€

I provided the data requested for the Supplies Order & received this Reply from UPS:

ā€œAccordingly, I have submitted your order as per your request. Please be advised that the supply will be shipped within 1 - 2 business days. Since we have submitted the order after 3:00 p.m., the standard delivery might take up to 6 business days.

For future reference, if you want to order supplies and you’ve reached your account limit, you may email us the item number and quantity, or you may call us at 1-800-377-4877 to process it immediately.

Warm Regards,

Aria M.
UPS Preferred Customer Associateā€

For the Supplies Order placed on Wednesday, the shipment arrived yesterday (Friday) around Noon.:balloon: PROMPT!

Well I just logged in and I had to accept their new technology agreement and then set up Multi-Factor Authentication, and scan another code, then save a special recovery code! Whoa nelly, they are serious about MFA for real I guess. So far, I do not see where they are expecting me to pay for UPS supplies.. but I will keep going and let you know.

UPDATE: I can order supplies, same as always, no issues.

Thank you for asking

I am happy to announce that I am now able to SUCCESSFULLY order supplies!!!

I’m not sure what caused it to work now maybe it was a glitch thanks for that information

@jennjoneis :two_hearts: Excellent! :two_hearts:

Hope you continue to find success with that ordering method.

Their computer system appears to glitch periodically to enable online ordering and then reverts to disable online ordering.

As a UPS Preferred Customer, this is a bit unnerving; however, since they’ve provided a Supply Hotline for ordering supplies, I’ll utilize that as it requires less intervention . . .

:tada: CONGRATULATIONS :tada: on your Success!

Yes!! I can’t even log into my account after they updated their website. My local UPS stores hook me up now. The one an hour away orders extra for their store just in case I come in looking for more. They give me a massive stack of label pouches (he knows I use them on FedEx packages too because theirs suck) and a couple of packs of poly paks.

@aimeegravgaard Remember that you can always call their Toll-Free # for Customer Support. The details are within my post above.

:white_check_mark: They’ll deliver them with no S&H fees directly to your home or office to utilize for your clients shipment packages.

TICKLER: Alert the UPS Representative that you’re a 3rd Party-Shipper.
