Is The Notary Spot still in business? I have tried calling them several times and all I get is a recording.
I just got a notification from them about a signing in my area.
I know they are on snapdocs. I haven’t worked for them recently but have in the past. Here are some contact numbers:
TheNotarySpot, Inc.
816-548-3100 Office
816-743-4483 Fax
913-912-9440 After-Hours/Questions During Closing
and email:

Do you have the Ph# to Carrington Title.
Thanks
The Notary Spot is not defunct.
They have been banned from Carrington Title. They will NOT PAY. RUN!!!
Dont take work… If you do, get the paper, call the title , escrow, lender, Send them links of notary spots non payment record. work out a deal directly with them.
Usually when you do this at last hour, they work out and pay you directly. That is my new strategy
Call 972 2028937Jack.kodak@Carringtontss.com For Notary spot
Run, Run, Run as fast as you can. They do not like to pay their notaries. You will only get paid after 90 days of trying to find the person to talk to in accounting if you are lucky. Another one is the Notary Pool. They are just as slow.
I have two payments overdue with Notary Spot and tried to contact them millions of times via email telephone, so I contacted the companies which contracted them. I just received a threatening call from one of such companies saying that I have to stop contacting them and that I shouldn’t even try to contact borrowers otherwise i will have legal consecuences, so frustrating!
I did an job for the Notary Spot, an I haven’t received any payment or response from anyone.
Talked with Carrington. Email address previously given is incorrect. Its Jack.Kozak@Carringtontss.com. Bottom line of my conversation–they are getting a lot of inquiries and sounds like they cannot reach Tomlinson either. He assures me Carrington has a vetting process for its vendors but did not work in this case. He tells me if vendor was paid our issue is with vendor. Sounds like Carrington will not pay us.
I sent in some info to Carrington requesting they re-evaluate their relationship with The Notary Spot and included info from BBB, Rip-Off Report, Yelp!, etc… to prove they are robbing notaries. It appears Carrington has stopped using them but there are a lot of us who didn’t get paid. Nonetheless, The Notary Spot contracted us, not Carrington, and therefore Carrington is not obligated to us in regards to payment. I simply contacted them requesting they remove themselves from the equation so as to not provide the work by which The Notary Spot is afforded the opportunity to rob us.
I also sent out the same “PROOF” to SnapDocs but SnapDocs refuses to kick anyone off their site DESPITE proof they are maliciously and intentionally robbing notaries. I was pretty sad about that because I have worked with some great companies through SnapDocs but I have learned that just because a company finds you on a reputable platform (I think SnapDocs is reputable but I am still new so I welcome feedback) doesn’t mean the company contacting you is also reputable.
Hi , I see a lot of issues with The Notary Spot which is owned by a Tomlinson . I am having issues with One stop notary shop which is owned by Joycie Tomlinson . Do you know if theres a connection ?
I received a job from( the notary spot) 9/20/16 they will not answer emails, nor Phone calls. something need to be done about companies that treat the notaries like that,Who is in charge of these people? Why are they needed anyway? can we market the mortgage Co. our self ? they are trying to low ball us, I know some people do this for a living and I understand, it got to stop somewhere , another company is Traveling Signature, I had a problem with them, I had to call
the company that hired them I got paid after called the mortgage a couple times, TS called and said (you are Annoying !)
like i cared, I just wanted to be paid.for my services. They went pass their terms.
Both 123Notary.com and NotaryRotary.com have reviews of signing companies. NotaryRotary has the more complete reviews. When you get a offer for an assignment and it’s a company you’ve never worked for before, check them out on those two sites. Even on this forum, there are complaints about the Notary Spot not paying. Know before you go. Even if you’ve accepted the assignment and find out after the fact that the company has a reputation for not paying, decline the signing before you go any further.
Carrington dropped TNS and is now on Snapdocs
Really with Joyce? She pays all the time, on time. I read recently maybe on FB NWT connection forum that she had a baby? Call them, she is GOOD, her ex hubby Michael Tomlinson, not so much. But he too is on FB. I’d send him a fb message about payment.
I also did a signing for The Notary Spot on 10/3/16. No payment and I am unable to reach anyone at their numbers and unable to leave a message. No response to my email either. I will never accept another job from them! What a waste of time, right?
They are still sending out notifications. I received one this morning for the Houston area. My response was “No. I’m not available because I am owed for an order completed in August and many other notaries haven’t been paid either.”
Hi
From what platform did you get the contact from TheNotarySpot.
Did they directly call you?
I just filed a complaint with the BBB of Houston for two outstanding invoices back from July. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. My next step is with the state Attorney General. I also copied Carrington whose legal counsel responded that they have paid The notary Spot for these closings. Needless to say, they’ve been scratched off my list…
