Cloud signing.Stay away

I strongly advise against doing business with Cloud Signing LLC. I completed two signings for them over two months ago and have yet to receive payment. Communication has been extremely difficult getting in touch with someone to resolve the issue feels like pulling teeth. Proceed with caution.

There are multiple posts regarding this company’s lack of prompt payment. Sorry you got burned but continue to contact them for payment.

@seancgravesande Sorry to read about your Non-Payment experience with this business entity that has a longstanding NEGATIVE history of Non-Payment.

Just wondering if by any chance were you able to locate the immediately available information found within the Notary Cafe database on this business entity?

This information is a GOLDMINE!

Most members express that they find it difficult/NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to locate the Search Function in order to access the wealth of information available within the database that has been generously contributed by your sagacious fellow business owners over the years . . .

To be helpful, I’ve inserted an image for you & others [see below] to help members locate it to unlock the wisdom & knowledge of other members on the forums.

I’ve performed a cursory Search on your behalf and the results show ** 46 separate** threads (including yours) about this particular business entity. There is a plethora of data immediately available on the threads within Notary Cafe. :sparkles::tulip:

SPECIAL NOTE: Accessing the database to locate information about potential clients has saved many of us an inordinate amount of time ‘chasing’ payments for Services professionally provided to potential non-payers . . . :crown:

Same issue. I sent a post due email every day for a month and finally received payment. Be persistent and assertive in your response.

@seancgravesande The email address for that business entity is located multiple times within the 46 threads listed on the direct Notary Cafe urls I posted above.

Have you checked there?

Once again (as I’ve lost touch with where I’ve posted this!), remember they pay not in “two months” but in 60 BUSINESS DAYS after completion which turns out to be about three calendar months. AND you have to send them an invoice “on a timely basis”. AND lately even when I remind them two weeks before and one week before, payment finally shows up a week late anyway! But I refuse to do business with them any longer. I was supposed to be paid today - guess what! (Latest email “required” a file number for the job but flle number was on the invoice I’d already sent three times!)

@barbmadaras FYI :white_check_mark:

@seancgravesande & any others who have long-term outstanding invoices with this business entity, you may find this data to be helpful for collection:

I took an underpaid job from them once. They did finally pay but it took months, and they basically ignored me. They have been the worse I have dealt with.

Thanks for the suggestion - that is the email I always use. And I always attach the invoice which includes the signer’s name and the File Number (which they will ask for). HOWEVER, this is what I posted on another thread this morning after ai was told for the fourth time since 07/23 it “will be looked into this weekend”. “LATEST ON CLOUD SIGNINGS: I filed a complaint with the BBB and informed them of such when an overdue payment was promised yet again for the third week “will look into it this weekend”. POSTING THIS because their response was “You have violated our policy and no problem thank you have a great day”. (The statement doesn’t even make sense.) I will admit that I have received payment for every other work order I have done for them (usually only after “nudging” them) but this time I’d been pushed past my tolerance.”

@barbmadaras Just curious . . . have you Reviewed the helpful collection data; i.e., Step-By-Step Guide & Theft of Services, yet?

In case you’d like direct Notary Cafe url links to those posts, I’ve linked them above.

Not yet. Still trying to deal with them directly. I’ve contacted our Secretary of State who won’t care a darn but I forwarded that email to Cloud Signings just as a veiled threat. Why not?!?! I have my last payment from them due in two weeks and I haven’t accepted anything from them since. My concern is that they’ve blackballed me. Is there anyplace I can see what my rating/ranking/reactions etc are from companies I’ve done work for?

@barbmadaras Hmmm . . .

  • Regarding ‘Item #1’ - Understand

  • Regarding ‘Item #2’ - Generally, this is a thinly-veiled threat that is utilized by Non-Paying business entities. Usually, the only other business entities who would Accept the Biased Opinion of a Non-Paying business entity would be ANOTHER Non-Paying business entity. So, remain calm. Try not to lose any sleep over it.

  • Regarding ‘Item #3’ - Usually the rating/ranking/reaction categories are within their own platform/web portals. Of course, you can Search social media to check that out as well . . . but, doubt they’d do that, because ‘mud-slinging’ usually results in the ‘mud’ sticking to ‘both sides’ involved in the transaction.

cNsa5: Thanks once again for your words of wisdom! Believe me their “veiled threat” doesn’t phase me at all. I just want the missing $90 and the upcoming (at risk?) $100! The other day when working an order done on JOT, I saw that their client had the opportunity to place a response to my work done. Thought perhaps Snapdocs had the same although I’d never seen it. Again, thanks! (I just sent them the 9 emails back and forth about the payment overdue - just for the fun of it and to annoy them! What’s interesting is that “out of process” they paid the invoice from work the day before that had always been part of the conversation but they didn’t pay this one.)

@barbmadaras :tada: You’re Welcome! :tada: Hope it’s helpful.

No first-hand knowledge on that platform (snapdocs) as their Fees are abysmally LOW; however, over the years I’ve read from time-to-time across various forums that there is a Notary Rating System behind a paywall that is for ‘hiring business entities’ eyes only . . .

Something to potentially investigate further . . .

.

Possibly some Notary Cafe members who are on that platform will chime in here for you. :sparkles:

:swan:

Snapdocs is where 99% of my business comes from and it is not THEIR (Snapdocs) fees that are low, it is the fee dictated by the client. And I always respond with an increase if it is necessry.

@barbmadaras Understood.

To be explicitly specific . . .

When that business entity came on the scene in its nascent form (many years ago) the Fees on Signing Orders [SOs] on that platform were abysmally LOW.

So, for me (at that juncture in time) it was a Hard PASS.

Glad you’re finding Success on the platform! :partying_face:

.

:swan:

If a company is a no pay or incredibly slow pay being black balled isn’t that big a problem.

And I doubt a company with their reputation is able to influence other companies.

@barbmadaras :tada::sparkles::tada: Absolutely!

At this point - although, trust me, I despise their policies - Cloud Signings has paid for every work order I’ve done (about 5) and even accidentally paid for one not due yet! SUGGESTION: Always keep a copy of the Invoice you sent and when you create the template for those Invoices, include the last name of the client, the file number, the date, the amount due. They will always come back and as for the file number and that’s an easy way to have it right at hand!
