I am seeing an increase on Snapdocs for unfamiliar signing services. Can we assume that since they come through Snapdocs that they have been vetted?
no. snapdocs does not vet the companies using their platform. For example cloud signings is on snap docs .
Seems many who couldn’t make it decided the road to riches was to take a slice of everyone else’s pie. The platforms provide an illusion of a company…when, in fact, they could be working from a closet. Anyone can get on SD…doesn’t mean you don’t have to vet them!
@mrlnsumner As a business owner you’ll be best served by vetting ANYONE you’re considering providing your professional services to . . .
During this time of minimal SOs, it’s even more challenging to remain financially solvent. This is the precise reason I often strongly recommend the following:
-
Always research potential new clients prior to providing your Professional signing services
-
Always query about the payment interval & ensure it’s included on your SO
-
Be certain to clarify if the payment interval is CALENDAR days or BUSINESS days (there’s a BIG difference between the two)
-
Hedge your bet against the vagaries of this business sector by DIVERSIFYING your services and/or client base
-
Read the EXCELLENT reference text I’ve recommended on multiple occasions over the years for learning other techniques to provide Professional services (outside of the Loan Signing sector):
FYI: I receive no compensation or remuneration of any type or kind as a result of my first-hand experiential review above nor from any sales of the text.

I wouldn’t assume anything of the sort. All Snapdocs cares about is that their fee is paid by whichever company uses their platform.
New doesn’t mean bad.
@johnsonps306 I agree. We just need to vet the new ones ourselves
Just for myself, everyone gets one opportunity after all isn’t that what we wanted when we started just one opportunity to prove we were good Notaries?
The way I laughed reading this!
Yes, on all platforms. I had one that liked to have drove me crazy. I wanted to shout, “I GOT THIS”.
Waiting to see if they pay as promise.
This made me actually laugh out loud
Mainly because they currently have $1,500 outstanding dating all the way back into July. Their “net 60 business days” are WAY overdue now. I have 1 that is just now to that due date and 1 is still within 60 days. I did email the info email on the 28th. They requested “file numbers” instead of order numbers in order to look into it. So to add insult to injury, I had to go back into every confirmation email and do their job for them just to stir the hope of getting paid soon. I should add that I haven’t taken a signing from them in almost 60 days. When I took that last signing, I realized that they were on a “net 60 business days” and I faded into the bushes when I see their signing notifications now. It’s giving Prestige vibes….![]()
I have been trying to get paid by Cloud Signings since June. I’ve emailed their customer service multiple times, shown them the proof of the signing via their confirmation email, and the document that was signed. They continue to say this signing was canceled and then ignore me. Very frustrating!
Well established ones stay in business. Some operate like a Ponzi scheme, run out of our money, fold and re-open under a different name. I regularly get random offers from sole-proprietors that I know from how they act are just notaries working direct that are too lazy to work.
