Snap Docs and other platforms

I have had my Notary Public commission for over a year and have been NNA certified as Signing Agent for a month, how does Snap Docs work exactly? Are all requests simply sent in a form of a text? I received a request for a signing, but it did not show on my orders page. Is this typical? Are there any other companies that anyone would suggest for me to gain the experience?

SnapDocs lets Schedulers choose who to contact (mostly by your pic) and it’s easy to click on everyone they see & then click ‘send’ see how many newbs accept the ridiculously low fee. Then PICK ONE…and send that person the order. All experienced notaries are fully aware that the first offer is a loser and counter with a profitable fee. Then Scheduler will either PICK ONE…or, more likely, send it out again…maybe even with a small fee increase. or, they will send it out to notaries further away. This ‘find the cheapest notary so co. earns more’ GAME will continue until order gets assigned.
Note that SD never, ever provides all the info required to make a totally calculated resonable, but profitable counter-offer. (large zip codes/city could be 1 mile or 30; pkg size could be 50 or 250. So, when you get an order, you MUST check the actual, now finally provided LOCATION for ’profitability’, If it turns out to be a lotta miles/gas/travel time, you can politely explain that the fee needs to be increased to (whatever works for you). Often, but not always, they will agree.
Note that you won’t know the pkg size (some do provide a range) until the docs are available (anywhere from right now to 2 hours or less from the Appt. time). Again, if that turns out to be a big (over 125-140 pages), you will most likely have to request more $ and it’s usually agreed toas long as it’s a reasonable increase. NOTE–many get offers; only one is chosen, It’s a GAME…learn to play it well or you’ll soon be broke. For the best education on this topic…READ PAST POSTS ON THIS FORUM.
