Be cautious of accepting any signings from Prestige Notaries. I inquired about a payment and this is the answer:
Hi,
We are working on getting caught up. We had a founding partner of our second largest client die that affected how they pay us and our largest client started changing their billing process that halted our payments for two months. Both are administrative, not disputes and they are getting closer to pay us so we can immediately turn around to pay you.
They’ve also CHANGED NAMES repeatedly to outrun debts . . .
Prestige Notaries
Jennifer Garland
Jennifer Glover
Notaries in Action
Notary Dash
etc.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the past within the Notary Cafe Forums [Reference this Notary Cafepost] across many threads & posts (as well as multiple other notary forums) an incorrect connection has been made between:
These business entities =>
EXHIBIT A
Prestige Notaries
Jennifer Garland
Jennifer Glover
Notaries in Action
AND
This business entity =>
EXHIBIT B
Shasta Signings
THERE IS NO BUSINESS OWNERSHIP CONNECTION BETWEEN EXHIBIT A & EXHIBIT B. Review this postfor further delineation of the topic.
This appears to be the current ‘excuse’ that’s being published.
The digital world includes individuals and groups engaged in deeply unethical and fraudulent behavior. The same risks associated with Ponzi schemes, cryptocurrency scams, and other fraudulent operations can also appear in the notary industry. For that reason, notaries must remain vigilant at all times.
Thank you for sharing this important information. Staying informed and monitoring these types of activities is essential to avoid becoming involved | directly or indirectly | with fraudulent platforms or networks.
A critical warning for colleagues: if you become associated with a group involved in questionable or illegal activity, others may view you as part of that operation. Before registering on any platform or providing personal, business, banking, identification, or notarial information, conduct thorough due diligence. Verify the company, review its reputation, confirm its legal and regulatory standing, and make sure you understand exactly how your information will be used.
Protecting your professional reputation begins with being careful about who you trust and which platforms you join. MP
I can comment on the last 15 minutes or so. They were talking about laws in each state that protect contract workers to make sure they got paid. Someone mentioned a new law in Texas concerning that and the SS owner’s response was something like “Wait let me write that down, Texas. I don’t work with title companies in every state if their too picky..” I sensed the message was:
‘if I can get away with it…’
Never accepted any SOs from those business entities. As such, I have no dog in this fight.
Shared data posted by reliable members to assist a fellow Notary Cafe member with collection of long overdue invoices.
The two individuals @Bobby-CA@LindaH-FL who posted that those businesses are owned by the same person are longtime, well-respected, & reliable members of the Notary Cafe forums.
If you have a problem with what they stated, the onus is upon you to direct your posts to those members.
It’s IMPORTANT to be quite careful when PUBLICLY stating those member(s) have posted untruths . . .
I called the client who hired Notaries-in-Action who hired me and wasn’t paying me, and warned them that they shouldn’t work with them because they are stealing their money and not paying the subcontractors. Notaries-in-Action suddenly came up with the funds to pay me. We should make the title companies who use such signing services like Prestige Notaries aware of the fact that they are not paying their notaries and warn them against using such a disreputable company. Basically put pressure on them from above.
